Free Music Notes for The Very Best of UB40 1980-2000Free Music Review: Reegae Kings Hit: 4 StarsThere are often times where the feelings of good Reegae music are just widely recognized through so many colors nad performers. That has been definitive through so many visionaries like Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, the legendary Bob Marley, and so many others. Nevertheless, there has been one of the very few definitive that have showcased that worth very well, UB40. Since they've came out back in the 1980's, the group from Britain have been one of the most widely recognized groups that have not just done well with original songs, but also some of the most brillaintly rendered cover songs ever, and that has been graciously shown on this record.
The Very Best Of UB40 1980-2000 is a delightful single disc retrospective of one of the most unique Reggae bands ever. The compilation includes 18 of their most delightful tracks that still sound fresh and as bold as they were made years ago. The songs here have definitively been remastered well, and sound even better than ever. Ali Cambell and company are captured here well with their great tracks including Here I Am, The Way You Do The Things You Do, and their brillant rendiditions of covers from Neil Diamonds Red, Red Wine, to a lively cover of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love. I still definitely enjoy these great songs like they were still done fresh and new today.
It is sadly a shame that UB40 don't have the widely conjured appeal they had years ago, but nevertheless it is always a great joy to still listen to their music. The Very Best Of UB40 1980-2000 is a really wonderful greatest hits record, and I really do recommend this for die hard fanatics of UB40, and for anybody who hasn't yet heard their colors of the Reggainbow.

Free Music Review: UB40 The Best of Hit: 1 StarsI ordered this CD specifically for Red, Red Wine and the whole song isn't even on there! I was VERY disappointed. Best song they ever recorded and I wasted my money trying to get it. Don't get this CD if you like that song.
