Free Music Review: Furious Metal Onslaught
Hit: 4 Stars

Wow! This album simply goes for the throat and throttles you into submission from the opening track until the instrumental closing number. It is apparent to me that this band really decided to step it up a notch in the aggression department, not that their previous release was really lacking in that regard. This album just comes across as so relentless and crushing that you can't help but be immersed in the pulverizing blunt force trauma of frothing-at-the-mouth vocals and ferocious guitar craziness. If you are looking for a nice and intense, slightly more progressive and technical antidote to the cookie-cutter "metalcore" scene, then this may be just what you are looking for. Some standouts? The slow, ponderous doom riff closing "Bled Dry"; the hyper-fast, almost neoclassical metal riffage of "Sanctity of Brothers"; or the blistering solo trade-off dueling of the excellent "So It Goes"; which sounds like Lamb of God meets "Rust In Peace"-era Megadeth. Very heavy and cool. Recommended.

Free Music Review: More metal oriented!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the album what i expected from Unearth, more metal and less metalcore, sure they pleased the old school metal fans like me but their loyal base fans from the metalcore scene will be dissapoint. This album is full of blistering solos, incredible drumming and the vocals sounds really good. In my opinion is better than the "Uncoming Storm". Recommended!!!!

Awesome album, awesome group, and they are even better live. i broke my nose at one of their shows in the pit and it was still 110% worth it. I would definately recogmend this album to anyone into metal or metalcore.

Free Music Review: Less Metalcore, more metal, you say? Yes, please.
Hit: 4 Stars

There was a spot or two on here when I heard what appeared to be some thrash influence, but just ever so slightly.

This album is one of those meant for repeat doses. The first time through, I noticed a few cool things here and there, but altogether "okay". The second time around, I started to "figure it out" so to speak and appreciate it. Now I listen to it pretty regularly.

It's a strong album, and a step in the right direction and evolution for the band. Here's hoping they keep it up.

"Sanctity of Brothers", by the way, would be my favorite from this one.

To the people who gave this album a poor review - I respect your opinion but I just don't get it. This album blows me away!! It is in your face from start to finish. The guitar tone is out of this world and Trevor's voice has never sounded better. I have absolutely zero complaints about this record. I bought it the day it came out and it hasn't left my CD player yet. By far their best album to date. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Best album of the year so far. Sanctity of Brothers, This Time Was Mine, So It Goes and Imposter's Kingdom are the highlights but every track is mind blowing. Do yourself a favor and buy this album!!!
