I agree with that song about reparations: everybody should get a free Lexus. It's only fair. However, you may find it even more astounding that I and The Union Underground part company when it comes to the issue of separatism. It feels that laws are meant to be broken, while I insist that if one believes statements like, "The Queen of England heads up the international drug cartel," one is, in effect, supporting soporific clumsy champions of deceit, lies, theft, plunder, and rapine. And look at that Football Williams guy. All he did was smash some guy's head with a cinder block, and everyone gets all upset. Excuse me? "Can't we just all get along?"

Strictly speaking, it's not fair for "An Education In Rebellion" to create a climate in which it will be assumed that our achievements reflect not individual worth, talent, or skill, but special consideration -- and The Union Underground knows it. Individually, "An Education In Rebellion" publications form the association in the public's mind between any beliefs (as I would certainly not call them logically reasoned arguments) The Union Underground disagrees with and the ideas of hate and violence and illegality. But linked together, The Union Underground's litanies could easily subordinate all spheres of society to an ideological vision of organic community. All that they're saying is "The power hungry ethnocentric and zenophobic European Caucasian race has oppressed minorities for the past millennium." Give peace, brotherhood, harmony and smack a really big CHANCE. I gave the CD 5-stars because the lyrics are as immature as nursery rhymes (0-stars); the music is simplistic, repetitive, and boring (0-stars); but the cover art is awesome (5-stars).
