Free Music Notes for Demons and Wizards

Free Music Review: memories
Hit: 5 Stars

I had this album on vinyl many years ago, with the same picture on the cover. The sound is still excellent.
Ordering and delivery were without fault.

Free Music Review: overlooked classic
Hit: 4 Stars

I remember getting this on vinyl when I was in college. I got it because the album cover looked cool. I hadn't any idea of what the music was like specifically. The album is long since gone, but I recently got it on CD, and I'm glad I did.

I guess you could call this a "concept" album. Sort of Moody Blues, but more "rock" and less "prog" oriented. Good rocking numbers, and a couple of slow tunes. The highlight is the 12-minute "Paradise/The Spell" which ends the CD on a rock and roll symphonic note.

Be warned, though, that oft times the lyrics are a bit juvenile. "Today is only yesterday's tomorrow." "In the face of Beauty, Evil was lost." Still, it's kind of fun in a nostalgic way.

And of course, this includes what is probably Uriah Heep's biggest commercial hit, "Easy Livin'."

All in all a good CD, somewhat of an overlooked classic. I don't know why Uriah Heep didn't make it bigger. They had a good sound for the era.

Free Music Review: Very Strong!
Hit: 5 Stars

A very cool album of 70s hard rock, Uriah Heep serves up the goods on this one. The vocals are done very well on this one, and the organ really sets a great mood throughout. There are some really top notch songs, here.

Free Music Review: One of my favorites
Hit: 5 Stars

Great lyrics, great sounds. This has been a favorite of mine since it came out in the '70s. I keep this in my 5 disc changer in my car at all times.

Free Music Review: One of signs of the Death of Rock & Roll
Hit: 2 Stars

The absolute worse record of the seventies, but, in spite of that every metal head throws this up as a classic...Save your money....Give up on this one.....Belongs in the heap of "What the hell was I smoking ?" when i liked this. Really, really lousy stuff.......See for yourself....just dont, buy this junk..............
