Free Music Notes for ConfessionsFree Music Review: A Not so Good Album Hit: 1 StarsYeah, he can't sing and his songs are NOT good!
Free Music Review: Nice Album... Hit: 4 StarsWhen me and my friend first heard this album we were like, what's the fuss? This album isn't ALL that?! There was so much hype around it, i thought this album was going to be a classic. So I listened some more, but it had to grow on me. Not saying the album is horrible though.
I was going to go throught and analyze each song, but Usher has 17 tracks so never mind that!
Yeah - although its been played out just like Confessions, Burn and Caught Up, I will always like this song. because i'm reviewing this album about a year and a half later Yeah doesn't get any play on the radio now, but in the club, it always get people to dance.
Confessions, Burn, Caught Up - okay songs. i never really liked them when they were on the radio. I always skip these songs.
Truth Hurts, Simple Things - filler tracks. i always skip these songs. never even heard the middle and end of these songs
Superstar - i like this song. don't know why. maybe because usher wants to be my groupie. ???
Bad Girl - i like this song. real sexy song. i think he's talking about me. just kidding, i'm no groupie!
That's What Its Made For - safe sex song! no one ever talks about condoms! i like this song
Can U Handle It - real sexy song. i like this song. maybe i prefer usher's sexy songs over his ballads
last 3 tracks - okay songs, i don't skip these though, but not worth explaining

Free Music Review: Three Stars Hit: 3 StarsI gave this album three (***) stars because of Ushers energy. Not creativity. Usher is a great entertainer but to me he's just not an artist. There is nothing "original" about him. Not that he is phony; just that he's not producing any sounds or portraying any image that has never been heard or seen before. The album overall is very energetic and if you are into his particular sound you would probably be entertained. I have a very strong opinion about the track entittled "That's what it's made for" I don't remember what track number it is. I felt like this was a very very irresponsible song to put out by Usher. This song talks about having unprotected sex. And I don't care how he tried to cover it up by saying I got protection in the chorus. Usher'a lyrics speak of having unprotected sex and when the female says that she's safe he says it's already too late. Now that you are reading this review take the time to read up on the thousands of Americans who contract HIV every year. With these statistics I feel that Usher should have been a bit more careful and responsible. For this reason I sold my Confessions CD online. Which was the wrong thing to do because I should have thrown it away. Passing garbage around for a small fee makes me just as much the problem. However I'm not dogging the whole album just this song in particular.
Free Music Review: A Much Needed R&B Album Hit: 4 StarsWith Usher, you either hate him or love him, there's no in between. Those that dislike him may argue that he's a Michael Jackson wannabe, who's banking off of what MJ, James Brown, and Jackie Wilson did era's before he graced the stage. His fans though, like myself, see his originality, charisma, and his abundance of potential without limits. The first time I heard "Yeah", it was obvious that it was Lil' Jon produced, but it took me some time figure out who was singing. Usher was indeed back, and what a way to return with the club banger of the millenium. "Yeah" is one of those songs like the great "Billie Jean", that forces you on the dance floor. No one know's what went on with Ush and Chili, but the drama helped sell the Confessions theme. "Confessions Part I" puts it all on the table with Usher admitting his wrongdoings, and is begging for forgiveness. "Burn", a sultry ballad that highlights the pain that Usher goes through on a daily basis is a perfect example of what "Confessions", the album, is all about. I mean how can you groove to another brotha's pain? The album gets a little stale with "Truth Hurts" and "Simple Things", but uptempo hits like "Caught Up", "Superstar", and "Bad Girl" keep things lively. "Confessions" isn't as efficient as "8701", but it is still better than 95% of the male R&B albums put out in the past 10 years. This album does revolve in its own self-pitty a little too much, but Usher has definately reinvigorated music.
