Free Music Notes for Confessions

Free Music Review: Hurt by an ego
Hit: 3 Stars

I must admitt that after hearing 'Yeah' on the radio I had a newfound desire to listen to Usher. After his brilliant 'My Way' he seemed to fall off the face of the earth with his trashy Europe release and then his US effort '8701' which proved to be nothing mush to listen to. In the meantime Justin Timberlake left N*Sync and, to everyone's surprise, turned out a GRAMMY winning album...so now Usher, determined to go out on top puts together a pretty tight album and markets it like crazy. 'YEAH', the first single is crunk ready and prevides a promise that 'Confessions' is going to kick major @$$...the whole time now, Usher is bashing Timberlake and doing quite a bit of camera stealing, self promoting, amature imature stunt pulling all to gain attention for his album, which, to no one's surprise, didn't live up to the hype. Yeah, there are a few good songs, most notably the singles like 'Burn' 'Confessions' and of couse 'Yeah' but where are the rest of the club hits? Where is the CD that you promised? It's under this mess? Yes, songs like 'Throwback' and 'Caught Up' are actually really good ('Caught Up' being probably the best track here) but theres just soooooo much filler and way toooooo much hype for this CD to really impress. I'm sorry Usher, but Timberlakes album was a much tighter and well put together album, not to mention the fact that he didn't try to cram like 20+ songs onto an album but just made quality songs for a quality album. Learn a lesson player and next time don't talk such a big game...that way when your album fails to impress at least your fans won't take you for an @$$hole...

Free Music Review: Trash!
Hit: 2 Stars

This is the absolute worst album that I ever owned! The only songs that I like are his singles, everything else is terrible. Try again, Usher. I had bought this album because I was having complications with one of the mp3s of one of the few songs that I like, but now that it works, it's going on ebay!

Free Music Review: I hate yeah!!!!!!!!!!

Free Music Review: This Is His Best Album Thus Far
Hit: 4 Stars

Usher's new album, Confessions, is a hit, and I definately can see why. Personally, I thought this was better than any other album he has released thus far. What I love about this album is he succesfully mixes both pop and rap together where many other artists have failed. Probably the most popular song on this album is the hit song "Yeah!", which featured a lot of other rappers. This song was great because you just want to dance everything you hear it. It just has that dancing beat to the song. Also, me and my friends, everything we hear this in the car, we just shout "YEAH!" everything Usher shouts it. It's basically a fun song. Another hit song on the album is "My Boo" which he performed with the ultra hot Alicea Keys. What I liked about this song is that they both were able to mix their voices together perfectly and also had solos that were great on the song as well. Also, it was a rap/love song that was blended perfectly, which is rare to see these days. Other hit songs on the album were "Confessions" and "Burn". However, what kept me from giving this album a perfect score was that in having 21 songs on the album, not all the songs were great. Some songs were lacking feeling and soul, and it felt like the song was put in the take some space. It just shows that more isn't necessarily better. However, the positives about this album significantly overweight the negatives, and I highly recommend adding this album to your collection.
