Free Music Notes for My WayFree Music Review: Usher's Way! Hit: 4 StarsUsher was only 15 when his debut album came out in 1994, while it wasn't a bad album it wasn't too good either and didn't yield any hit singles. On "My Way" from 1997 Usher Raymond grew from boy to man and his sophmore album had three big hits also. Good producers like Babyface and Jermaine Dupri gives this album a good weight between slow jamz and uptempo's. "You Make Me Wanna" a big hit and this album's best song also showed signs of Usher's fantastic dance moves and soulish voice while "Nice & Slow" really is a good bedroom song. "My Way", not to be mistaken for the Sinatra song is a strong beatoriented midtempo and this album's third hit. "Slow Jam" is a duet with Monica and cover of a Midnight Star song. "Just Like Me" feautures a cameo from Lil Kim and "Come Back" is too thugish with rap. I could live without these two. "I Will" and Babyface penned "Bedtime" are both great slow jamz while Closer, "One Day You'll Be Mine" samples the Isley Brother's "Footsteps In The Dark", same sample as Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day" but is more then welcomed nonetheless. This is the first Usher album to purchase and a good way to discover his breakthrough album and latter career moves. Unfortunately there are only 9 songs + one un-neccesary extended version of "You Make Me Wanna". A few more songs would surely improve the album, but it's defenitely worth the price.
Free Music Review: Before the ego... Hit: 5 StarsBefore the hype, before the public breakup with TLC vixon Chili, before Usher became better defined by his ego than his six-pack...there was 'My Way'. Now unless you've seen 'Usher: Behind the Music' you probably think this is his debut album, because until 'You Make me Wanna...' hit the air waves no one knew who this kid was, but once it did hit everyone was soon well versed in the school of Usher. From sick beats and classic old school vibe on tracks like the aforementioned, the title track and the dirty 'Just Like Me' featuring Lil' Kim, to slow jams for the more intimate of occasions like 'Bedtime' or my personal favorite 'Nice & Slow' Usher brings top game to this brilliant album. Only 9 tracks long, 10 if you count the extended version of 'You Make me Wanna...' (which isn't that much different than the original) Usher doesn't leave room for filler, and that's good because every track here is really good. So yes, Usher was and still is a great singer, but here we get a glimpse of 'pre-big-head' Usher, you know, the way we like him.
Free Music Review: Usher's My Way Hit: 5 StarsHey its me again! I've reviewed all of Usher's albums. Let me review this one. This album is an excellent album and despite its from 1997 I still love listening to it! Once I put Usher in my stereo he pretty much stays in there. Now this cd deserves 5 stars because not only does it have hits on it but they're very good. U Make Me Wanna, Just Like Me, Bedtime, Nice&Slow and My Way are just some of my favorites. If you don't own this album please buy it!

Free Music Review: A classic Hit: 5 StarsThis cd is wonderful. It is without a doubt a classic, even though all of ushers cd's since my way are classics. I really love this cd. You can just put this cd on repeat and listen to it the whole way through. I've heard it a million times. The only problem I have with it is it only has 10 songs, when it first came out, every song was soo good I was craving for more songs. But quality, not quantity. I can respect it!!!
Free Music Review: Haven't heard it yet but plan to real soon! Hit: 5 StarsI haven't heard this CD yet but from what I've heard it shouldn't be a disappointment. I'll leave another review as soon as I've listened to it so just hang on till then!
