Free Music Notes for My WayFree Music Review: A nice album Hit: 3 StarsGenerally I am into my ole school classic R&B & jazz, and don't care much for these kids out today with all their baggy clothes, crotch grabbing, hip hop attitude, swagger and limited abilities. But for some reason I've got a thing for this kid with the big round face and toned body that he loves to flaunt so much. Lucky for Usher than unlike most these guys out today his voice is just as good as his face & body.He had a nice style with Jermaine Dupri on production. This 1997 set has some great grooves, and kinda stole the limelight from Ginuwine & Timbaland. 'Nice & Slow' is just that, and 'U Make Me Wanna' is catchy too. Cuts like 'Just Like Me' and the title tack are also hitting. It all trails off near the end and the overall vibe is a bit young, but this is a cool album, not great by any stretch of the imagination, but good fun.
Free Music Review: Great album, but a little short. Hit: 4 StarsA great album with tracks such as "U make me wanna," "nice and slow" and "my way" not to mention the track with monica,"slow jam." some of his best work is on this alnum and overall its more R&B than 8701, which i found a little to pop for my liking. except for the likes of "u remind me" and the amazing "you got it bad." which in my opinion is his best ong along with, "nice and slow" and obviously, "u make me wanna." so on the hole a good album well worth buying although a bit short.

Free Music Review: Something that was happening in 1997 Hit: 5 StarsOkay thinking about today's music industry, the music nearly of one artist nearly sounds the same of the next. Back in the day of the mid 90's, music was hot, happening and wild and this album is just one example of what people were bumping to back in those days.Although many people critize this album to be very short, it's very good and has no bad songs as the advantage of being short. The hit "You Make Me Wanna" exposed Usher to be the public and this album was soon made a hit in 1997. The album has many sounds most of them linked to Hip-Hop in a way. There's also quite a few guest appearances on this album. J.D was one of the people who really believed in this album and produced some of it's track, not to mention being featured in one. Usher also features R&B singer Monica on the album's longest track "Slow Jam" Surprisingly tha Queen Bee of Brooklyn, Lil' Kim herself makes an appearance on "Just Like Me" using her foul mouth to match the beat of the street! The albums ballads are excellent from "Nice and Slow" to "Bedtime" it's relaxing. There ain't really dance tracks, there's just soothing R&B/Hip-Hop tracks like "Just Like Me" "My Way" and "You Make Me Wanna" The album is worth the money. Even though it's 10-tracked and number 10 only seems to be an extended version of number 1, the album is still worth every penny. Cop it, it's hot. Usher da man!
