Free Music Notes for Deep River/ColorsFree Music Review: Fantastic Hit: 5 StarsI love Utada's music. Hikki is awesome. I have a few other cds of hers, but this one might be my favorite. These are my opinions on each of the songs. Here's my rating system: 5:one of my absolute favorites, 4:really good, 3:like it, 2: it's okay, 1:not very good. I promise ther won't be any ones or twos.
DEEP RIVER
1.Sakura drops: This is an awesome song. I've seen the video, and the video is weird. But don't get me wrong, it's still a really good song. All of Hikki's music videos are cool, but kind of weird. I love the drums. They give it a nice touch. I give it a 4 out of 5
2.Traveling: Once again, weird video, awesome song. It has some really fun and wild sound effects and music. It really is great traveling music. You'll not only want to sing along, but you'll want to get up and dance! (which could be a problem in a car, so if you're driving, just stick to attempting to sing along) I give it a 5 out of 5
3.Shiawase ni Naro (I'll Be Happy): I love the piano in this song! When I had my sister listen to this song, she kept attempting to sing the lyrics. It sounded kind of dumb. I speak some Japanese, so I taught her how to sing it correctly. It's kind of hard not to want to sing along. I give it a 3 and a half out of 5
4.Deep River: It's a slow song but I still love it. It is so relaxng and her voice is so soothing. the video is mostly black and white. It's very much like the song because the ocean looks relaxing. Anyway, it's a really nice song. I give it a 4 and a half out of 5
5.Letters: It has a really fun Latin type of beat. I really wanted to to get up and dance like a maniac. It has such a fantastic beat, and in certain points in the song I could have sworn I heard a cell phone ringing. Truly puzzeling, but it does fit in with the song. I give it a 4 out of 5
6.Purei Booru (Play Ball): Another fun beat. It's easy to tell why it's called play ball by the parts of the song that are written in english, like when she says "I'm stealing your heart" (just like stealing a base). If you listen carefully, you can hear her say, "Sounds like play ball, c'mon". Not the best song on the cd, but it is still good. I give it a 3 and a half out of 5
7.Tokyo Nights: I wanted to get up and do a tango to the song. It really does sound like tango music. It is very different from Puffy Ami Yumi's song Tokyo Nights. I can really picture Utada wearing a red tango dress dancing the tango while she sings this song, for some reason. Why? I don't know. I just know I love this song. I give it a 4 and a half out of 5
8.A.S.A.P.: I don't know what to say about this song. It pretty much speaks for itself. This song simply simply sceams, listen to me A.S.A.P.! I give it a 3 and a half out of 5.
9.Usa Mitai Ita I Love You: Yes, I know it sounds like Simple and Clean. You can read why on another reviewon amazon, because I can't remember exactly what the reason is. I really like the hardcore guitar. It makes the song very different from al the other songs by Utada. I give it a 4 out of 5
10.Final Distance: I love how she dedicated it to the girl that wanted to be just like Utada when she grew up, but she was killed at her school. This song gives me goosebumps because it's so beautiful. Once again, I love th piano in this song. I give it a 4 and a half out of 5
11.Interlude: It's short but I think it sounds really cool. She doesn't sing in it so I don't know what to rate it, but I like the music,so I give it a 4 out of 5
12.Hikari: I like the english version better, but I still love this song. I give it a 4 out of 5
COLORS
1.Colors: This is one of my all time favorites for sure! the music video is really cool! The music is amazing and her voice is at its best. I give this song a definate 5 out of 5
2.Simple and Clean: I will always love this song because I first got interested in Utada's music when I heard this song while my brother was playing Kingdom Hearts. I adore this song beyond words! I give it a 5 out of 5
3.Simple and Clean (PlanitB remix): It is a great version of the original. It would be a great opening song for a concert. I give it a 5 out of 5
4.Colors (original karaoke): It's colors without words, so it gets a 5 out of 5
Overall, I give both albums a 5 out of 5! my favorites are Traveling, Colors, and Simple and Clean as I wrot above. I love this cd, and I'm sure you will, too. So what are you waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!!! My incredibly long review is over, so buy the cd! Now!!!!!!!!
