Ute Lemper's vocal timbre is not my cup of tea especially, but her interpretive skills are extraordinary. Of the old world, where skill, independence, inspiriation and passion count for more than commerciality and ultimately, plasticity. okay...i heard her for the first time on the movie"Kissing jessica stein" when she sang "your special girlfriend" and i was like wow...this girl has talent...very very catchy tunes...i am not even into all that much jazz and i couldn't help but like her music...if you don't mind some contraversial lyrics(which i believe to make her that much better...shows she doesn't care) then you will like this....
