I can't say enough about how much I like this band. This is for the dreamy laid-back folk and I am one of them. It's fun, it's not cookie cutter pop and it has a fantastical edge to it that is so appealing. Great road trip music. Great walking music. Great sitting in a hammock reading the paper music. It's music that makes you want to get up and dance, stop and smell the roses, hit the beach and basically enjoy life because it's too short to waste away indoors or doing something boring like work.Free Music Review: The Kids Do Have a Chance

I saw this band live before I bought the CD and it's not a disapointment.
I first heard them on KEXP in Seattle,last year and they remind me of some of the innovative music from the Police and Paul Simon. The lead singer reminds me of the Young Rascals lead singer, great voice. Their music has lyrics which are both legible and clever. The Graceland infuence of Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa is unmistakable. I think this is a must have and some of the finest new music available.

I don't really know what people are talking about by thinking this is a representative of modern music. There's even a comparison to Panic! At the Disco somewhere.
I'm not going to say you'll love it but comparing this to anything mainstream out there today is totally rubbish. It's just some music with no pretensions and nothing to sell and that alone has me on board for whatever this group has to offer. It's basically a Wes Anderson movie in music format.

So a lot of people are saying that this is overhyped, not memorable, or a rip off of old music. Well I think you guys need to stop trying to categorize music into something you recognize. VW has come along with a new, catchy, and quite enjoyable CD that is good for listening. If you believe that what other musicians have done should affect what this CD is about, get a life. In this day of single downloads it is a wonderful surprise to find these new artists. Their debut album delivers several quality tracks, and like albums of old even the filler songs make listening to the whole album very enjoyable. My personal faves A-Punk, and Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa, show a depth of both musical talent, and intelligence. Give them a listen on You tube, then decide. I wasn't disappointed.
