Free Music Notes for Fair WarningFree Music Review: Best Van Halen LP Hit: 5 StarsThis was Van Halen's fourth album with DLR that was put out back in 1981 and is possibly their best one ever. Eddie's guitar playing is amazing. He is defintly one of the best guitar players around. DLR's vocals are very good also to tell you the truth all of the Van Halen cd's with DLR are awesome so don't even bother with any of the sammy ahgar ones. So if you are looking for a Awesome Van Halen cd buy all of the one's with DLR.
Free Music Review: Good Golly! Hit: 4 StarsThat was my reaction the very first time I heard this album bustin' through my speakers. It's like they had no intention of trying to produce a hit single, they just wanted to crank it up and play their fannies off for about 40 minutes. Eddie is jaw-dropping amazing throughout all the tracks. No wonder David Lee is caught goofing off during "Chains." He knew no one was going to be listening to his vocals on this one. And "One foot out the door" may be Eddie's greatest lead ever (and that's saying a lot) because it's almost ALL lead guitar. And that, in my book, makes for a great Van Halen album....
Free Music Review: One of the most underrated albums of all time....a classic! Hit: 5 StarsTrue VH fans know the deal... Start to finish. Beats, Bass and Guitars and DLR. Heavy!!! Energizing!!! Its a CD I often listen to if I need to pump myself up or great if driving in a car on an open road on a summer day.Mean Streets and Unchained. I highly recommend it! Nevermind underrated VH CD, I believe its one of the most underrated albums of all time....a classic!
Free Music Review: Van Halen IV,chronologically Hit: 4 StarsThe spring of 1981 saw the release of Van Halen's fourth million-selling album FAIR WARNING. The album title is spoken by frontman David Lee Roth on the first track,MEAN STREET. UNCHAINED is the only Top 20 hit from this album. SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN THE PARK is instrumental. Other great tunes include PUSH COMES TO SHOVE,SO THIS IS LOVE and SINNER'S SWING.
Free Music Review: My Favorite VH Album Hit: 5 StarsThe solos are the most intense of any VH album. "Fair Warning" was when all the stars aligned for Eddie's playing, and the rest of the band follow suit. This is also the darkest of the VH albums. With "Tora Tora" soundling a little bit like Mercyful Fate, and "Sunday Afternoon" is a very atmospheric dark synth composition (almost goth). Michael Anthony lays down hulking funky grooves and great backing vocals, Alex keeps pace and puts in fills that accentuate the whole rhythmic statement of each song. Dave smothers the songs with tender loving raspy sleeze, thus seasoning this volume of the devil's music to utter perfection.
