Free Music Notes for Magic TimeFree Music Review: A lot to like Hit: 5 StarsI'm not really familiar with the career of Van Morrison or many of his recordings, but I was completely taken with this terrific collection of songs. Morrison has a smokey, bluesly delivery here that is tremendously appealing. My favorite tracks are "Stranded," and "Greta Garbo," but there aren't any losers on the whole CD. Highly recommended.
Free Music Review: An eclectic mix of soul, jazz and blues Hit: 5 StarsVan Morrison never fails to put across an intimate feel with his music. It seems to place you in a smoke filled juke joint somewhere in middle america, or in an upscale jazz club in some big city the moment you listen to it. His distinctive vocals always deliver the heart of the piece he is performing. This collection is exceptionally good, not one track you will likely skip during playtime. Well done...
Free Music Review: It's Magic Hit: 5 StarsAn excellent CD , in fact I'm listening to it now. His just like Greta is worth the price but most of the songs are great. An excellent purchase.
Free Music Review: The "Old" Van Morrison Hit: 5 StarsGreat CD if you like the mellower roots of Van Morrison. Easy listening and terrific pace for those who appreciate the genius of Morrison.
Free Music Review: Pretty darn good Hit: 4 StarsVan Morrison keeps re-inventing himself. There are maybe 6-7 excellent songs on this recording, and I just love the mumbling, lazy voice he uses on a few songs. He plays his voice like a finely tuned instrument. There are several songs though, that he could have left out. But those are easy to take care of, if you've got an MP3 player...
