Free Music Notes for Still on Top: The Greatest HitsFree Music Review: Van Morrison Hit: 5 StarsThe CD is a compilation of my favorite Van Morrison songs. They're still excellent after all these years.
Free Music Review: Vandave Hit: 5 StarsThis is one of the smoothest, best put together albums I have ever bought. And with 2500 albums in my collection that's saying a lot. I used to think that Van was a mumbler and most of his lyrics too hard to hear, but this album cleared it all up and I have a new respect for him. A great album!!!
Free Music Review: Pretty good, but Hit: 4 StarsI had heard all the radio selections such as "Domino" and "Brown Eyed Girl" but I really didn't get into his music until he came out with "Wavelegnth" and later (my favorite) "Enlightenment". "Still on Top"
rehashes some of his greatest hits but most of these were done on an earlier "Greatest Hits" CD. Again, a good CD to get a a sampling of what you are likely to hear on the radio from him but they leave out many of the songs you want to listen to over and over on his later releases.
Free Music Review: Van Morrison-Still On Top-The Greatest Hits Hit: 5 StarsThis album is a great collection of Van Morrison's classics. Van Morrison is one of the truly great artists.
Free Music Review: Too many hits to be "The" Greatest Hits Hit: 3 StarsVan has always been a "hit" factory in my book. I've loved 99% of his music, but I would never buy a greatest hits album of his. I have my own personal favorite "hits" by him, and those are called albums. Into the Music is a greatest hits just like Tupelo Honey, Astral Weeks, Beautiful Vision, Enlightenment, Hymns to the Silence, etc...you get my drift. This is only for the fair weathered fans, not the die hards.
