Free Music Notes for Van Morrison At The Movies: Soundtrack HitsFree Music Review: Van the Man Hit: 4 Stars
My overall impression is that this is a fine collection with a good variety of songs. It is nice to hear different variations of old favorites as this contains live versions not heard on standard album tracks, as well as less famous or less popular tracks. The one sad note is discovering that it does not contain what I would consider his song most frequently used in films, "Crazy Love." I so expected it to be included that I didn't really check before I purchased and was quite surprised to find it was not--thus the loss of one star in my rating.
Free Music Review: Great CD...Van's The Man Hit: 4 Stars
This is a great CD if you like Van Morrison...Kind of like a greatest hits album really from the various stages of Van's Career....Did not realize how many different movie soundtracks Van has appeared on..My only issue was that the studio version of Into The Mystic is not on here..they used the live version which does not have the same impact on you...still a recommended CD
Free Music Review: Kapeka Hit: 4 Stars
I've been a Van Morrison fan for forever now and feel this CD is great to add to any Van Morrison collection. The only disappointment I have is some of his songs from movies are missing:( and that is why I would only give this CD four stars instead of five...but it is a very bright super nova of four stars!!
Free Music Review: fantastic but missing a gem Hit: 4 Stars
I rarely have a bad thing to say about Van the Man, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed with this compilation. It is missing a great song.
From the Russel Crowe movie Proof of Life-"I'll Be Your Lover, Too" which can be found on the album "His Band and The Street Choir"
Free Music Review: Some live, some studio Hit: 4 Stars
Some of Van Morrison's songs on this album are live and some are studio made. I really don't much care for the live songs because I learned to like those songs made in the studio on vinyl. This is still a very good album.
