Free Music Notes for Be Not Nobody Album

Free Music Review: Amazing debut from an amazing talent
Hit: 5 Stars

You might know Vanessa Carlton from her video for "A Thousand Miles."
After hearing her album "Be Not Nobody" I can tell you that there is
a lot more to the talent you heard on her single. If you haven't heard
the album yet, please permit me to give you a brief guided tour.

It opens with "Ordinary Day." This may be one of the best songs on
the album. If you liked her first single you will probably like this
reflective song as well. This is reported to be the next single from
the album, and it sounds like a hit to me!

"Unsung" is a really different sound for Vanessa. It has a folksy,
rock and roll sound to it. Don't worry, I think you will like this
one too. She once again demonstrates her talent by her musical range.

"Pretty Baby" is what I would consider a ballad. I could see it
being a single, but it is a slower song, so it might not get the air
play that it deserves. This is a song that true fans will love.

Did you know that Vanessa has a dark side? I don't mean dark as in
evil, I mean dark as in deep. The songs "Sway", "Paradise",
and "Prince" all have a lyrical depth and emotion that will be sure
to touch you.

Vanessa can rock! She does a cover of the Rolling Stones "Paint it
Black." Don't worry if you don't likeolder music like the Stones
put out, I think you will still love this rendition. While this
song has been covered by many artists over the years, Vanessa
Carlton's version is among the best. I couldn't get her version out
of my head all day yesterday!

"Wanted" and "Twilight" close out the album in a quiet and reflective
way. You probably know "Twilight" as the B-side of "A Thousand
Miles."

All in all a fantastic album! You will not be disappointed. Be sure
to spread the word!
