Free Music Review: Short-lived British sixties group - good while they lasted

This collection includes all their singles (both sides) up to the end of 1970, plus other tracks from their 1968 album. The album tracks include a number of covers which sound as you would expect of Vanity Fare. They stamped their identity on each cover, without doing anything radical. I was surprised to see a cover of Teresa Brewer's Music Music Music, but it suits them well.

Vanity Fare recorded for a couple of other labels, but without success, so everything that you need (and much more) can be found here. They were not the most important sixties band by a long way, but they made some nice, upbeat music which is melodic and very enjoyable.
