Free Music Notes for Shrek - Music From the Original Motion PictureFree Music Review: Not the soundtrack Hit: 3 StarsThis is not the soundtrack, and only a couple of the songs are featured in the film. Those tracks are quite good. The rest of the material is forgettable.
Free Music Review: No "damn" words for my kids. Hit: 3 StarsI bought the cd after the movie, I had not paid any attention to the words. I wish I would have before I bought it. "I don't give a damn about my reputation" is not one of the songs I want my kids repeating. The music is great, as long as I skip two songs I don't want my kids to hear...
Free Music Review: Uneven Song Selection Hit: 2 StarsThe only reason I bought this soundtrack was for the version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," sung by Rufus Wainwright. I couldn't find that version on another CD. Didn't care for the rest of the songs on this CD that much.
Free Music Review: It's Ok Hit: 3 StarsIt's an Ok cd I'd Rather watch the movie than listen to the soundtrack some of the songs R either too slow and old or the fast songs need action or something . I got the cd 4 smashmouth's songs really .
Free Music Review: A Pretty Cool Soundtack. SHREK ROCKS Hit: 4 StarsShrek is, like, one of my "Top 10" movies. Er, that list is in my mind. The soundtrack is equally good. Some of the songs were in the movie, some were'nt. But, whatever.
1. Stay Home--8/10 one of my favorite songs on the CD. It's pretty good.
2. I'm A Believer--9/10 it's kinda catchy, and very nice.
3. Like Wow!--10/10 er...ok, it's my favorite song on the CD. It can be described as "Girly Chick" music, but is likeable.
4. It Is You--9/10 a vocal version of the song associated with Princess Fiona. I like the flute-thingy solo near the end.
5. Best Years Of Our Lives--7/10 an O.K. song. It sounds like a party song.
6. Bad Reputation--9/10 THIS IS A ROCKING SONG. It sounds dark, but happy at the same time, and is just plain GOOD.
7. My Beloved Monster--6.5/10 eh, another O.K. song.
8. You Belong To Me--7/10 The song ties in with the film Ok, but is also an Ok song.
9. All Star--8/10 catchy, fun, cool, and the first song you hear in the movie.
10. Hallelujah--8/10 this song is slow, sad, and maybe boarderlining beautiful.
11. I'm On My Way--4/10 WORST SONG ON THE CD.
12. I'm A Believer (reprise)--8/10 Eddie Murphy sings this, and only the last part...It is accurate to the movie. YAY!
13. True Loves First Kiss (original score)--9/10 an enchanting, lovely song.
OVERALL, it's a four-outta-five. Some songs tie in with the movie, some dont...Oh well. I would reccomend this CD once or twice. It's a time-passer.
