Free Music Notes for Shrek - Music From the Original Motion PictureFree Music Review: Great soundtrack for a great film Hit: 5 StarsEvery track is great, and every track fits so well with what is happening in the film while the track is being played. What more could you want?
Free Music Review: Wonderful Hit: 5 StarsHey guys and gals. I love this soundtrack... i really do. There is one song on it that means so much to me and its called "you belong to me" by Jason wade of lifehouse. the reason why it means so much to me is that... Last summer my then boyfriend made me a cd with this song on it, along with other beautiful ones and i was listening to it today and all the memories just came rolling back. I don't know if i should be saying this.... but I still love him! I don't know why we parted.. that is still unknown.. i guess one day it all stopped. but this song is a classic.. I love it. Cheers
Free Music Review: Excellent soundtrack especially Hallelujah Hit: 5 StarsI see all the reviews and often times and this is NO opinion because I grew up in discipline of life and feelings and looking at everything: MUSIC IS OFTEN MORE BEAUTIFUL WHEN IT MAKES SOMEONE CRY, FEEL AND CHANGES THEM TO KNOW BETTER MUSIC WHEN THEY LISTEN TO IT. So with that I will say of all the versions of Hallelujah I have heard, this is the best. People on here that were comparing were biased and you can see it in their words, and they were hyper-active in their explanations which means they easily will miss ANYTHING nice and beautiful and important anytime. So this soundtrack and movie is not for their current way of thinking sad to say, but I hope that can change for them.:) This version of the soundtrack is not always easy to find but I am glad Amazon carries it. This is by far the absolute best song on the album and makes the whole movie what it truly is. That is a fact beyond a shadow of a doubt. The person who wrote this script can tell you this exactly to. What is in this song, Hallelujah is a key and central point to this movie and most people miss it and it is really sad. The piano and voice just touches me to no end and EVERYONE I talk to and I mean EVERYONE feels the same way. Unforgettable song and it makes me cry and moves me every time I hear it and song it by this singer, Rufus. Wonderful movie series to.
Free Music Review: Yeah, what J. Deighton said, I think. Hit: 3 StarsThe song Hallelujah from the movie itself is done by John Cale right? Why did it change to Rufus on the soundtrack?!! ...disappointing. Did I miss something? I got the CD for John Cale and Jason Wade. I only got half.
Free Music Review: Good stuff--an important part of my music collection Hit: 5 StarsI'm a HUGE Shrek fan, so naturally I wanted to buy the soundtrack and it was worth the money twice over
Stay Home--Good song by Self but who's ever heard of Self?? I don't think this should've been the startoff song but don't be fooled by this. 7/10
I'm A Believer--This is the one you will take up your stereo remote and flip to cause it's awesome--originally by Neil Diamond. 10/10
Like Wow--Sister of Aaron and Nick (why she didn't make an album is beyond me) 10/10
It Is You--Don't think much of it 5/10
Best Years Of Our Lives--Should've been called Best Song On The Album, cause it is!!!!!! 15/10
Bad Reputation--Hate it--cause it has bad language. 0/10
My Beloved Monster--Haven't heard of Eels but it's a good song--it's in the movie. 8/10
You Belong To Me--YES!!! AWESOME SONG!!!! 12/10
All Star--What do I need to say it's awesome stuff--the essential Shrek song. 12/10
Hallelujah--Cool by Rufus Wainwright. 8 1/2 of 10
The rest isn't that great but the good songs are worth it. If this album was meant to introduce new artists it failed. But if it wanted to just make a good album--yeah they succeeded.
