I bought this CD as a gift for my mom and she loves it. The sound quality is great. I could live without Wolfman Jack, who talks occasionally between songs. After you've heard him the first time, he gets a little tiresome. It's a bit expensive, but it is a 2 CD set and worth the money for such a great collection. Needed a CD to use for "break" music for my band's oldies show. Perfect fit: all the memorable hits, with original artists (so often falsely-promised on CD labels), fine production values and good sequence. The two CD's provide plenty of material and variety.
Nothing really to serve the hard core doo-wop esoterica fan; just the mainstream stuff.
Oh, and the "Only Have Eyes for You" cut by the Flamingoes remains one of the most haunting arrangements I've ever heard in any genre.
