Free Music Notes for Almost Famous

Free Music Review: Buy This And The Next Thing You Know, You'll Buy The DVD
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an excellent soundtrack but it is a pity they didn't make it into a two CD set. There is so much great music in the movie that is missing here, from classics such as Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters to obscure tunes like Blodwin Pig's Dear Jill. But the tunes that are on this disc are an excellent representation of the music in the movie, surely adequate to wet your lips sufficiently to desire to own the DVD. And that's not a bad thing - the music is well integrated into the movie.

Free Music Review: excellent s/track
Hit: 5 Stars

Excellent s/track - and the new song Fever Dog sounded like a song from the era.

I'm also wondering about the acoustic song they played when William sent Penny off at the airport. Another song that I've failed to identify is the one they played in the Cleveland concert - they started with Love Thing - then Russell played a solo to the song - and then they ended the concert with You Had to Be There. Can anyone tell me the title to the 2nd song pls? Thnks!!

Free Music Review: Now this is REAL music
Hit: 5 Stars

Assuredly one of the top films and album of the year, audiences get to see two hours of brilliant film making. The writing is consistently dead, cutting through the pomposity of the Rock industry with surgical precision. The laughs are nearly non-stop. There are plenty of poignant moments, but the film's overall effect makes the audience roar like they haven't in a long time. I truly wish that todays music had as much meaning as that of the 60's & 70's.

Free Music Review: Almost Perfect...
Hit: 5 Stars

Cameron crow certantly knows how a choose the right song for a movie. This is certantly one of the best soundtracks of all times. WHen a person sees legends like Led Zeppelin playing 'that's my way', Lynyrd Skynyrd playing 'Simple man', The Who playing 'Sparks', The Beach Boys 'Feels flows' and off course Stillwater(the which the movie talks about) playing 'Fever dog', and a lot more, playing on CD that must be something to have in your collection for life.

Free Music Review: Great movie, great music...
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm not always a huge fan of all things 1970s, but I really like a lot of the music used in Almost Famous. And I'm a huge fan of the film. However, I have a question for anyone that knows the answer: in the scene after the "Tiny Dancer" part, when the groupies are in the hotel room and put a red scarf over the lamp and dance around, a song is playing the background... does anyone know which song this is? I can't figure it out!
