Free Music Review: Power Soundtrack
Hit: 4 Stars

This is undoubtedly, one of the best soundtracks ever produced. The songs selected for the movie are perfect. Songs by T-Rex and The Clash provide the perfect expression for Billy's frustration in repressing his love for ballet. But the amazing rock pieces also make us feel the rush Billy gets when he dances. In listening to the songs, it's almost as if we are liberated and we're pushed to jump and dance to our hearts content, just like Billy. What really attracted me to this CD was T-Rex's Children of The Revolution. There's really nothing like the original. The molested version from Moulin Rouge was ghastly! In this soundtrack, we get the screams and anger of the original Revolution song. Hearing it immediately brings to mind a Billy dancing angrily and passionately in the streets. But the rest of the tracks are just as perfect. Except perhaps for one track. I would have given this CD 5 stars but the Steven Gately track is grossly out of place and sickenigly sappy. Billy would have hated the song. But it's a minor flaw. Just skip that track and have a great time with the rest. If you're a rock fan, this CD is an essential.

Free Music Review: I love to boogie!! :)
Hit: 4 Stars

Billy Elliot is a wonderful movie, the soundtrack is just as remarkable. It contains great classic-rock style music, lots of which can brighten any day. "I love to boogie", "Ride a white swan" and "Children of the Revolution" are among my favorites. The style is a bit unique, as well as some of the lyrics. I really like that they have dialouge from the film between some of the tracks, one including the wonderful phrase: "Piss off." It's a soundtrack you gotta hear to appreicate, but I'll tell you, it never leaves my CD player. It's a great soundtrack for fans of the film, but likewise for free-thinkers and happy people. (Gee, didn't that sound educated.) It's a wonderful film. It's a wonderful soundtrack.

Free Music Review: I love to boogie!!!!!!
Hit: 4 Stars

I absolutely loved the miovie Billy Elliot, and I think the soundtrack contributes greatly to my liking. "Cosmic Dancer" fits so well with the plot of the movie it seems as though it was written for the movie itself. Most of the rock songs are wonderful and I can't help dancing EVERY time "Town Called Malice" or "I Love To Boogie" comes on. Also the little bits of dialogue really contribute to the soundtrack, making you remember the movie everytime you hear them. I don't like the way they left out all of the classical peices like Swan Lake or the one Billy dances to at the autdition though. All in all I think it's a GREAT soundtrack , and anyone who loves the movie should get it!

Free Music Review: Needs the Piano Songs
Hit: 4 Stars

I absolutely loved the movie Billy Elliot, along with the soundtrack. But there was one piano song that was not included in the soundtrack that I really would have liked to hear. You hear it in the movie as Billy and his dad are walking to the ballet school, and when they go inside and walk up the curving staircase. What is that song? Who is it by? I don't know, because it doesn't list it on the end of the credits for the movie. This has been distressing me for about 2 years now, so if you can help me, please do.

Other than that, this is a wonderful soundtrack, and well worth buying.
