Free Music Review: QUESTION ABOUT A SONG
Hit: 4 Stars

I REALLY LOVED THE SOUNDTRACK. IT WAS TIGHT! IT HAD A GREAT BLEND OF THE OLD SCHOOL AND NEW. I WAS CURIOUS ABOUT ONE OF THE SONGS THAT WAS NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK. IT PLAYED IN THE MOVIE TRAILOR WHEN LATHAAN WAS BEING INTRODUCED IN THE WNBA. I ALSO HEARD THIS SONG IN THE MOVIE WHEN LATHAAN WAS TRAINING ON HER OWN IN THE GYM DRIBBLING TWO BASKETBALLS. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHO SINGS THIS SONG PLEASE LET ME KNOW. IT WAS A WOMAN, THAT IS ALL I KNOW. OTHER THAN THAT THE SOUNDTRACK WAS THE BOMB. MY JAM IS "I WANNA BE YOUR MAN."

Free Music Review: In love with "Love and Basketball"
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm in love the movie, and the soundtrack certainly had a lot to do with it. I believe the music director made prime choices for all the cuts in the movie and I can't seem to shake "You Made A Fool of Me" out my head from the one-on-one scene between Lathan and Epps' characters. I recommend this cd if for nothing more than sentimental value. It will certainly be added to my soundtrack collection along with "Love Jones," and "Boomerang" -- two of my all time favorites.

Free Music Review: Somewhat Misleading but a Great CD
Hit: 4 Stars

I liked the soundtrack but I was somewhat disappointed because there were 2 songs I really liked and only 1 of them were on the soundtrack. The main song where they realized how they felt and basicaly the love scene, the song wasnt on the soundtrack. I felt that it was the most important song and I looked everywhere for it only to finally land it in Napster. But other then that its a great CD :-)

Free Music Review: Love and Basketball Personal Review
Hit: 5 Stars

Gina Prince-Bythewood's new spring movie entitled "Love and Basketball" is excellent along with the outstanding music soundtrack. The soundtrack mixes both "old and new school" types of music such as MC Lyte's song "Lyte as a Rock" back from 1988 and new songs like "Dance Tonight" by the new band Lucy Pearl. The "Love and Basketball" soundtrack give the listener a taste of up-beat music that one can dance to like the 1980s hit by Rob Base, "It Takes Two" to the soft and sultry sounds of the song "Fool of Me" by Me'shell Ndegeocello. This song went very well in the ending duo basketball scene with Epps/Lathan. I would strongly recommend this CD to anyone who has a love for both old and new school types of music. Very well done! Have fun listening to this awesome soundtrack! And go see the movie, if you have done so yet!
