Free Music Notes for Love & Basketball: Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: Soulful Hit: 5 StarsI thought the soundtrack for Love & Basketball was off the hook, I really enjoyed it, I listen to the CD all the time, if you are a real music lover, you will enjoy this CD.
Free Music Review: All is fair in love and basketball Hit: 4 StarsI loved the movie and the cd as well. I just fell is love with the both of them from the moment on. The only thing that was missing from the cd was the song by Maxwell, "This Womans Work". Other than that the cd was the bomb!
Free Music Review: the bomb movie w/ the bangin' sdtk Hit: 5 StarsI loved this movie so much and i just wanted to say thank you to all of the artists who contributed the beautiful tracks to the soundtrack! They were all just beautiful especially Maxwell's song (which was unfortunately not on the sdtk)...but all in all I loved the movie and the soundtrack. All of the songs fit perfectly with each scene, they were so fitting that I just felt as though I was going to cry listening to them. I mean I loved each of those songs so much that I went and bought the soundtrack as soon as I finished watching the movie.
Free Music Review: "I should be crying but I just can't let it show, babe..." Hit: 4 StarsFor all of you curious about that beautiful song. Maxwell has it on his MTV Unplugged. The song is originally by Kate Bush. If you dig Maxwell, his unplugged CD will excite and delight. I have to mention, the Crooklyn soundtracks are killer too. There are two CDs so it covers all the great music you hear in the movie. Maybe Love & Basketball needs another CD. I just bought the Girl 6 CD, all Prince music. Again, Mr. Spike Lee, not bad, not bad at all. Check them out if you haven't!
Free Music Review: Not Bad Hit: 4 StarsThank you, thank you, thank you to whomever was responsible for adding Me'Shell N'degeocello's enormous talent to this soundtrack and to the film. The use of her song was absolutely perfect for that particular scene. For those who don't know, Bitter was one of the best (and most slept on) albums of 1999. If you like that track I encourage you to pick up that album. I also lament the exclusion of the Maxwell track from this collection. Add that one and it easily gets 5 stars from me.
