Free Music Notes for Remember the Titans: An Original Walt Disney Motion Picture Soundtrack (2000 Film)Free Music Review: In Celebration Hit: 5 Stars
A little bit of country, a little bit of soul, and great rock and roll. It's about time they came out with a movie with music from the early seventies--the pinnacle of rock and roll. I'll tell you what you ought to do--you ought to first buy this CD then get in your car . . . turn down the trebble and crank up the bass and push those speakers right to the edge of blowing. Then let it rip, first, with Spirit in the Sky, then Long Cool Woman--heck every song on the CD is great listening. Just make sure there's no cops around when you play it because it makes you feel wild. The early seventies were great, beacuse as the movie "Remember The Titans" exemplifies, the seventies mark a coming-out from prejudice, and bigotry. It's sad, however, what's happening in places across the US. Some cities, today, appear to have taken a "giant step" backwards to the undesirable times of the sixities. Perhaps they should show "Remember The Titans" at their movie theatres to help remind them of the awful struggle that caused too much death and sadness. At the very least, you can purchase this movie and CD to remind you of how ugly racism can be. Do it in celebration of the time when you realized you no longer had contempt or dislike for any color, race, or creed.
Free Music Review: A fun soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I picked up this soundtrack almost immediately after I saw this movie in theater. It's one of the best soundtracks I've ever purchased. This one has a lot of great oldies on it from a lot of big artists. You've got "Aint No Mountain High Enough" from Marvin Gaye which is a great song. There's "Up Around the Bend by CCR. You also have "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress by The Hollies. "Spirit of the Sky" is also here by Norman Greenbaum. To top it off you also have "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss him Goodbye" by Steam to top off all the hits. It's a hit powered soundtrack that can please a big age gap. I was a little disappointed with the Titans Score. I like the song in the movie but they didn't get right on the soundtrack. Thats the only knock I can put down on this soundtrack. Other than that it's perfect. I love this soundtrack. My parents love this one a lot. It's one of the better ones I own and if you loved the movie you have to pick this up.
Free Music Review: Remember the 70's? Hit: 5 Stars
"Remember the Titians" is a realistic feature that triggers a lot of emotions, and it demands a good soundtrack. But good doesn't even do justice to this; GREAT is more like it1 You'll almost forget you're listening to a movie soundtrack, more like a typical recollection of 70's hits. "Aint No Mountain High Enough" and "Na Na Na Na" steal the show; also noteable are "I Want to Take You Higher" and "Spirit in the Sky". On another note completly, this is one of Disney's best soundtracks for a live action feature EVER--keep it up, Disney! Usually, soundtracks for live-action movies just include instrullmental tracks, and don't appeal to many people as albums to purchase. But this one ROCKS DOWN THE HOUSE! I wish ALL of today's live action movies turned out such good music. Don't you agree?
Free Music Review: Remember The Titans Sountrack Hit: 5 Stars
Hi- my name is Lindsey.- I am reviewing Remember The Titans Soundtrck: I think the sountrack was EXCELLENT!!! It has oldies- just how I like!! It contains "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Spirit in The Sky"! I LOVE THOSE SONGS!! " Ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough "- Hee Hee It's fun imitating that song! I also love the C.D. because it provides lots of fun. As i just had written, "it's FUN imitating the song. I am listening to that song all day long. I go on the trampoline and dance crazily arround. I totally loose all my troubles and listen and dance and sing. Most albums don't do that for me. This one did!! I highly reccomend to buy this soundtrack. Thanks!!
Free Music Review: Bringing it all back... Hit: 5 Stars
Wow. I grew up a little after this era in Northern California where racism wasn't an issue. This was a wonderful historically accurate movie with an amazing soundtrack! After watching the movie (which is also a 5) we ordered the soundtrack and now cannot help dancing and singing along with the great tunes selected for the CD. This is a collection that the whole family can enjoy and when you listen to it, you just feel good. "Peace Train" could not be more appropriate as well as "Spirit in the Sky". Very fun and upbeat CD. I bought one for my brother-in-law so he could sing along with "Act Naturally" at his birthday party. This is a must have for your collection.
