Always a pleasure to listen to! I enjoy that many songs have diminished instrumental accompaniment -- they focus on the beautiful voices and words.
I had considered ripping the audio from the DVD, but the soundtrack _is_ worthwhile because it removes background noises and talking (which I found annoying and distracting).
It is missing a couple songs, the one I missed was "I want you (she's so heavy)". My desire for this song is evident, I ripped it from the DVD (which I also own). It didn't have distracting noises/talking...

Amazing, Great, Fun... what else can I say, if you love the Beatles, a MUST have Movie and CD. If you don't aren't familiar with the Beatles... You'll be an INSTANT fan!
I was amazed at how WELL and entertaining the movie was and INSTANTLY fell in love with the songs and how they were performed to tell an amazing story. The leads and supporting cast are AMAZING and the name star cameos/songs and FUN and a nice addition to the STRONG musical story... A MUST see/hear and HAVE!
As always, Amazon had the BEST price!

This a wonderful romp through a more peace filled time remembered. The music is wonderful. It's the Beatles. What more needs to be said. And the movie is so cute and sweet. In the struggles of every day life now, this movie brings back the gentleness and the victory our generation grew up on and the fact that "ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE." It reminds us that if we can only pull together, we can accomplish anything. Afterall, we stopped a war and brought our people home. Across The Universe, to me, was one of the best movies that I have seen. The music of the Beatles was incorporated into the movie seamlessly and the singers where wonderful. I normally don't like covers of old songs like the Beatles, but the cast was brilliant. Each song was sung with passion by each actor. I loved the CD set and play it quite often. I even bought a copy for a friend. I highly recommend this CD set to anyone who lived during the 60's, like I did. If you like the CD you would love the Movie!
