These songs hail mainly from N.Africa and share their Arabic language roots with their African hertiage. It's a really good introduction to some phenomenal artists of the region (my favorites are Amr Diab and Natacha Atlas). It might inspire you to take up bellydancing (or, if you are lazy, tap your feet while sitting around). I love every track of this album especially the first seven. The fourth track "Amarain" is very good for dancing salsa. It's has a very good rhythm and a very catchy tune. I play this CD for my friends in the car. They all ask, "where can I get this CD?" Last month, my wife and I went to Honduras and they were playing this CD in a restaurant. Loved the album but I knew what I was looking for as my troupe dances to one of the songs on this album. The rest of the songs are just as much fun to dance to and offer more ideas for choreography. Enjoy playing this album as I do my housework--transports me to another, less mundane place! Seller was super-efficient. Bought this CD for a party, and I really enjoyed it. I listen to it in my car a lot, great dance music, much of it is really lovely and catchy, and the arab singing style on most of these tracks is pretty low-key --- not too intense for western ears. Nice too, for checking out different artists, to see which ones you would like to hear more of. Definitely recommend it!Free Music Review: Rai Rocks!

I am amazed that I haven't worn this CD out yet. Each song is great and the more you listen to them the more you love them. Grooves- perfect title for this collection by Puntamayo. I can't wait for Bagdad to start rockin' again so we can get even more of this genre. Fellow bellydancers-several of the songs are great to practice your zills with. Shake your Shimmy Baby!
