Vashawn Mitchell's CD is a an absolute blessing. Whether you prefer contemporary or traditional gospel- you will be blessed by this album. Also, if you enjoy D. Lawrence, Karen Clark-Sheard, Byron Cage, etc., then you should definitely add this one to your collection. When I saw this CD in the store I decided to purchase it. I have never heard of this artist. Judging by the cover of the album I thought it was going to be contemporary gospel, that's why I bought it. I was wrong. Upon listening to it, I discovered that it was traditional gospel. But I still enjoyed it. This CD is impressive. All the songs are well put together and sound great. My favorites were, Where the Praises Are, Dreams, Destiny, Good News, Clap Your Hands, and Your Tears Have Paid Off. I was just blown away of how good this CD is. The songs were just awesome and usher in praise and worship. He can definately be in the same ranks as Hezekiah Walker or Donald Lawrence.
Overall this is a very good gospel CD. Vashawn Mitchell did a very good job with this one (he wrote and produced most of the songs. It's nice to see new talent. I did not regret purchasing this CD and glad I bought it. It's a definate must have and truly enjoyable.

Vashawn continues in his spritual growth with this project. One of the brightest gifts God has given the Gospel industry. VaShawn is able to write all styles of gospel and it is evident on this project. He doesn't leave out anyone. It's a must have.Free Music Review: gods music usa

Vashawn's CD is great. There is something for everybody. The title cut "Dreams" is awesome. "Good News" will make a Black History program come to life. Listening to "Lost in His Presence" will really have one "lost." "Your Tears Have Paid Off" also ministers to the spirit and soul. One should go to Wal-Mart or their Christian bookstore and purchase this CD. They won't be disappointed. DO NOT BURN THE CD FOR SOMEONE. Support the artist.
