I can't even count the amount of album's and EP's Venetian Snares has produced, but when something spectacular is released by him it shines in a different light. Hospitality, in my opinion, seems to be more thoroughly thought out opposed to his mess of beats in the earlier days. If you liked Cavalcade, you'll probably like this. Sticking with his complex time signatures, Hospitality features 7/8 and other odd time signatures causing chaos and confusion to flow through your ears.
Frictional Nevada takes what seems to be a flanger on an epic orchestral movement that leads into a burst trembling snares and a high pitched oscillator. Because every measure begins one beat before your average time signature, it's hard to catch up with; it's what makes his music interesting and captivating. 32nds of electronic bits drill into presence on Duffy which turns into a masterpiece of all of Venetian Snares' work. The distorted voice sample around half way through the song creates an eerie atmosphere which really makes this piece what it is. Hospitality is another one of my all time favorites.
This is the best I've heard from Venetian Snares.
