It's been awhile since I've been able to give Vince Gill five stars but this collection deserves 10 of them. Vince gives us a superior assortment of recordings with songs and guest vocalists so superb I'll probably wear out the CD's and need to replace them. I was especially pleased to see Del McCoury and his band featured as well as Phil Everly. The crystal clear sweetness of Vince Gill's voice and the creativeness of this collection is something every Vince Gill fan will have to own. Free Music Review: Disappointing lack of effort

Let me say first... I am a great Vince Gill fan. However, this collection of tunes is in no way up to the high standards that he has set for himself throughout his career. Upon listening to this entire collection, I actually skipped through most of the songs after listening to the first 30 seconds or so, and even at that, I only remember 5-6 of the 40 or so songs in the collection. It seems like Vince went into the studio with his buddies, and really no plan, and just started recording takes. Then, they all sat around and said...hmmm... we don't really feel like putting in the time to cull this down to an actual 10-12 track album...so lets create some marketing hype and release them ALL in a collection.... sounds like a great idea... one problem... most of the songs are at best forgettable, and at worst pedantic, produced poorly, and hard to finish listening to. I am very disappointed in this sub-par effort, having been treated to Mr. Gill's high standards for years.Free Music Review: Wow

I got this set as a birthday present and I was unsure of what to expect. I don't have any of his previous recordings and 4 CD's is a lot to digest from an artist you don't know all that well. I was stunned after listening to it. Over 4 CD's there is not one bad song and they all sound different. I thought when I started listening there would be some filler and some of the songs sounding the same. This recording belongs among the greatest of the American Music catalog. Great instrumentation, writing, sound engineering, and feeling. The guests do not intrude and fit naturally in the mix. These sessions must have been magical as this recording should be looked upon as a musical summit. Wow.......
I am now a Vince Gill fan.

I've been a fan for years, but this 4 disc set blows me away.
From the days of Pure Prairie League to this ? Wow.
The CD is also a tremendous value, all that music, covering all genres.
I subscribe to XM satellite radio, they're playing cuts from this collection across the spectrum, but I just had to have my own copy.
