Free Music Notes for Heart And Soul: New Songs From Ally McBeal Featuring Vonda Shepard (Television Series)

Free Music Review: Execellent Sophomore Outing
Hit: 5 Stars

Bravo to Ms. Shepard for another wonderful album. As a devotee of the show (and of classic rock) I truly enjoyed the covers of "Vincent". "This Old Heart of Mine", "To Sir with Love" and "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted?" The original songs (like "I Know Him By Heart") evoke more feeling in me that I realized. My only disappointment was with "100 Tears Away" - this is a lovely song, and I felt the album did not do it proper justice. WIth that exception, Ms. Shepard should be more than proud of this latest endeavor.

Free Music Review: Sensational Vonda!
Hit: 5 Stars

I think this album is wonderful. Her voice and her songs are so moving that you find yourself singing along with her before you even know it. It's also very inspirational and a 'feel good' bunch of songs. Whenever I have a bad day or one that could have gone better, I pop this album in my CD Rom, surf the net and before the album is over, I feel a LOT better. I also love Ally McBeal and without that show, I probably wouldn't have bought this album. So Great work both, of them.. and I can't wait 'till the next vonda shepard album comes out!!!

Free Music Review: Sing it Vonda!
Hit: 5 Stars

The New Songs from Ally Mcbeal are top-notch. Not only do we hear soulful oldies we know and love but we feel them too. Vonda Sheperd is back along with Al Green and Emily Saliers from the Indigo Girls to make a more powerful and more livelier soundtrack than volume 1. The music and vocals are so upbeat, it feels as if we are right in that bar from the Ally Mcbeal show where Ms. Sheperd and her trio perform. Especially excellent is Starry Night, Crying, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted and This Old Heart of Mine. Please, let there be a volume 3.

Free Music Review: A matter of mood.
Hit: 5 Stars

The songs from this album are more about Ally's mood than about her moments cause the songs works without the show. You can recognize that's all about her feelings and you can feel the same. In Read Your Mind you can fell hope, hapiness, and in Baby Don't You Break My Heart Slow you fell her fear and courage about love things. Ally's mood are present in all songs, and Vonda is awesome, her own songs or covers are just perfect! Its really about Ally's Heart and Soul and also about ours.

Free Music Review: ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is one of the best I've ever bought (and I do own a large music collection!). "I Know Him By Heart" is so true for everyone who is single and still waiting for 'The One' to appear in the next instance. I can't stop singing this song in my head everytime I'm walking alone in places with couples everywhere. In fact the lyrics of all the songs in the album are very meaningful. An absolute essential purchase for all romantic fanatics out there!
