Free Music Notes for Heart And Soul: New Songs From Ally McBeal Featuring Vonda Shepard (Television Series)

Free Music Review: cover or original, who cares?
Hit: 4 Stars

Whether the songs are covers, or original Vonda material is not important. What is important is that this lady is the most soulful female singer to come around in years. While little girls like Britney Spears dominate popular music charts, this WOMAN belts out songs from depths that Ms. Spears and her clones don't even know exist. Not since Linda Ronstadt in her prime have I been this taken by a female voice. (Note: Linda did a lot of cover material as well) Thank God for David Kelly and his Ally McBeal, because without them, Vonda might be another talented artist performing in obscurity because they doesn't fit the mold that record company executives think sell albums.

Free Music Review: Excellent
Hit: 4 Stars

This is the second album from the hit show Ally McBeal. The first album has many covers, but this one has mainly Vonda's own songs. These songs reflects the character Ally's feeling on the show, but unfortunately, many song's that I like from the first and second series that was not in thefirst album hasn't been included in this one, songs like the "Real World". which is a shame. That said, if you are a fan of Vonda Shepard's work or if you are a fan of the show, there is no doubt that you will enjoy it. Bottom line, the first album is better, but this is not bad either. Although, it does get better if you stick to it, and listen to it more.

Free Music Review: Fab album!
Hit: 4 Stars

Fantastic album! The songs are heaps better than the first album......even though I thought the first album was great too! Some of the BEST songs on the album are actually written by Vonda this time like Baby Don't You Break My Heart and Read Your Mind. She still does amazing work on the covers too like World Without Love and What Becomes Of the Broken Hearted. I enjoyed this album a great deal and unlike the first one I can see myself listening to it for a long time over and over and over again! It truly reflects the second series and is a definite must have for any Ally fan!

Free Music Review: A perfect CD for Ally fans!
Hit: 4 Stars

If you like Ally McBeal, and enjoyed the first soundtrack, you've got to buy this second album right now!

Despite the fact that many songs are new to fans of the show, it's worth buying this CD, since it brings the great interpretation of Vonda Shepard to the songs that will make Ally's mind in this new season of the show.

All the songs are good, especially "To Sir, with Love" (duet with Al Green) and Lennon's "World without Love".

Best wishes,

Rodrigo Medina

Free Music Review: Ally's heart and soul put into words by Vonda Shepard
Hit: 4 Stars

As the title of my review suggests, this album sets the mood to the depressed character Ally McBeal. When your heart is broken for the hundredth time, this is the album to listen to and cry with. Vonda's voice will touch your heart and put into words all the feelings you have for that one guy, may it be in good times, may it be in bad times. Not just your ordinary love songs but songs that are sung with emotion that will touch everyone's heart and will let no one unmoved.
