Free Music Notes for Songs From Ally McBeal Featuring Vonda Shepard (Television Series)Free Music Review: Track after Track of great music Hit: 5 Stars
All the songs on the soundtrack are great, especially Vonda Shepard's original songs. "Searchin My Soul" is catchy and uplifting, while "Maryland" is a subtle and inspirational ballad. Her covers of other songs are great too. "It's in his Kiss" is fun and fast, while "Walk Away Renee" and "Neighborhood" are slower but very sweet. Patsy Cline's, "You Belong to Me" is sentimal and sung very well. Vonda Shepard has a strong voice backed up by a good band! Even if you haven't seen the show, you should be able to appreciate the great music!
Free Music Review: Excellent but this cd deserves to be longer Hit: 5 Stars
Brilliant, excellent, a work of art; no words can describe the brilliance of this album....but hopefully I wish that this album was released as a double Cd set or maybe a 4-cd discography of her works on Ally Mcbeal. Songs such as "Since I fell for For You" and "Rainbow Connection" which were meaningfully performed on the show were unfortunately discarded on the soundtrack. Hopefully the producers of the album or even David E. Kelley reads this statement and gets working on a continuation of the previous album. Definitely 10 stars rating if this Cd would be released!
Free Music Review: Vonda Shepard excels herself Hit: 5 Stars
This album includes cover versions of Walk away Renee and Tell him. Two overdone originals that usually have you cringing with every new cover version. NOT VONDA SHEPARD. This lady has style, class and a voice to give you goosepimples. Very difficult to chose a favorite track on this Album but Walk away renee has it by a nose. Just because it is so unbeleivably perfectly done. Vonda should be a much bigger star in Europe than she is. Her voice, charisma, professionalism and delivery is rare. Not to mention her smile! This is a must. Buy it. Not a bad track on it.
Free Music Review: The best T.V. soundtrack ever! Hit: 5 Stars
I love this c.d.! Anyone who has watched Ally know what a big part the music plays in the telling of the story. When you listen to this c.d. you will remember different episodes clearly. "You belong to me" clearly brings to mind Billy and Ally dancing. "Tell Him" makes you think of everyone waiting on the street corner and of course "Hooked on a Feeling" though not the version featured in the show brings the famous dancing baby to mind. If you are a fan of Ally or just like good music I strongly suggest you buy this c.d.
Free Music Review: ALIVE AND ENERGETIC Hit: 5 Stars
This is a sing-along album. Most of the songs on the album are about 20years old but listening to Vonda's renditions is like a new experience. Her voice is strong and clear. She carries a tune real well and is not crowded out by instrumentation. The songs are so episode related that I actually envision the scenes where they were applied. I bought my album in July and have been listening to it every weekend. I have recommended it to a number of friends at work and they too are enjoying it. Now, if I could only find a T-Shirt with the Dancing Babies!!
