As a collector of Irish music, I truly love this CD. I'm a big fan of movie soundtracks, and this is one of the best. Normally I don't like spoken words in recordings, but the small 'eulogy' in "Lux Eterna" is lovely. Some Irish music can be a bit heavy going but every cut in wonderful. The best movie soundtrack, period. I have collected quite a few and there are always a few songs that I could do without. Not here. From the beginning to the end, you may not be able to fight the urge to dance a jig or sing out loud. This soundtrack is awsome. The song 'The Parting Glass' is amazing, as is the rest of the album. The only complaint I have to regester about it is the song 'Fishermans Blues'. The soundtrack from Waking Ned Devine is a wonderful way to relive many moments from one of my all time favorite movies. It is reminiscent of traditional Irish music with a bit of the 1990's added for good measure! It is a joy to listen to!
