Free Music Review: Rebel, Sweetheart
Hit: 5 Stars

As far being underrated goes, the Wallflowers have been overlooked since Bringing Down the Horse. Many people think that they aren't even around anymore, but they have never left. The three albums that they have made since Horse have all topped that album. Breach and Red Letter Days was the band at its finest, and now Rebel, Sweetheart proves that the band is in their prime.

All the songs blend together for a great album as opposed to one or two good songs surrounded by random recordings. Days of Wonder, The Beautiful Side of Somewhere and God Says Nothing Back are my personal favorites. There is no end in sight for these guys.

Free Music Review: Dylan's masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

Jakob Dylan's best album. I thought Breach and Red Letter Days were pretty good, but this one is just breath-taking. Dylan's lyrics are touching and powerful, and all the songs just seem like they fit perfectly into this album. There is not a filler on it. The Beautiful Side of Somewhere is the 1st single, and just a great song. Other favorites of mine are The Passenger, Here He Comes, God Says Nothing Back, Nearly Beloved (sounds Beatle-esque to me), Days of Wonder. Back to California is a good rocker. Best album of 2005, GO BUY IT and get the Wallflowers back in the top of the charts where they belong!!!

Free Music Review: The Wallfowers are Back with another Classic
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the best Wallflowers release to date and it is the best release I have heard this year (Amos Lee and Springsteen close behind.) The songs here show depth and character that we don't really get to see in music today. The range of sound here is perfect and the whole CD from beginning to end is a great listen. So put away your Killers, Green Day, and whatever else you have clogging your ears and listen an album that feels like the artists are deeply connected to their music and they care about what they are releasing. You have to give them credit they have consistantly put put great material.

Free Music Review: Solid album
Hit: 5 Stars

Released in 2005, this is presently the Wallflowers last studio album. Brendan O'Brien produced, and it is solid from start to finish. The singles were "The Beautiful Side of Somewhere" and "God Says Nothing Back", though the strongest titles may be "We're Alreay There" with it's beautiful lyrics and chord progressions, and "I Am a Building", the rythm of which is unlike anything you've heard from this band.
Most fans are primarily familiar with the band's 1996 breakthrough Bringing Down the Horse and 2000's Breach, but this album may be their strongest.

Free Music Review: Another great showing
Hit: 5 Stars

The Wallflowers are helplessly underrated leaving me to question why. I have been a fan since their first release The Wallflowers in 1992. Listening to their sound grow with every album you're able to witness the evolution of their sound and appreciate their commitment to quality. Rebel, Sweetheart is yet another great staple for a music lovers collection as it blends a deep acoustic sound with thoughtful lyrics. This album is sure to make new fans as well as please those of us who have been enjoying their sound for a while.
