Free Music Review: An Irish Tenors Christmas
Hit: 5 Stars

It's the Irish Tenors, what more do you need to know? It is definitely worth the money. This is a good collection of songs. I am glad they didn't waste their talents on songs like "Frosty the Snowman". Some one complained about a few non-Christmas songs. Frankly with all the "hate America" out there I am glad the Irish Tenors are different. Good job guys!

As for the Southerner who disliked the inclusion of "Battle Hymn of the Republic", I am glad they did include it. It has always been one of my favorite American songs. I am one Southerner who celebrates American songs and tradition.

Free Music Review: Beautiful and Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

When I fist listened to the clips from this CD on Amazon I wondered why on earth they put the patriotic songs at the end, and also wondered a little at the other non christmas songs. After listening to it several times however I realized why. They don't leave Jesus in the manger, but take him all the way up to today! Wow. To me that is totally amazing. There arn't many christmas CD's that do that, but I think it really balances things out. I really enjoyed the Drummer Boy, and all of the rest of the songs. I would definantly say that this was a good buy.

Free Music Review: We Three Kings
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an incredible CD, much better than the first Irish Tenors CD, probably because Finbar Wright is a much better singer than McDermott. Personally the highlights of the album for me are the solos and duets by Anthony Kearns. The Lord's Prayer stands out from all the others. On the lighter side is Fairytale of New York. I would definitely recommend this CD for anyone.

Free Music Review: Great CD!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful Christmas CD but when oh when are we going to get a solo CD of just Anthony Kearns singing?! He is by far and away the best Tenor on the CD! His "The Lord's Prayer" is incredible, as is the duet "Pie Jesu" with Finbar. I miss John McDermott singing also.

Free Music Review: What has Christmas to do with the Civil War?
Hit: 4 Stars

As an avid fan of the Irish Tenors I thoroughly enjoyed this CD until the last three songs. While I appreciate the Irish Tenors showing their respect for this country and their American fans by recording "God Bless America" etc., I fail to understand what such songs are doing on a Christmas CD. I am especially surprised by the inclusion of "Battle Hymn of the Republic." This song was a marching melody for the Union Army during the civil war and I think it shows a naive misunderstanding of history to include that track on this CD. What has Christmas to do with the Civil War? The tenors need to realize they don't have to include American songs in order to sell to American citizens. Stop catering.
