Weezer is my all time favorite band, and the blud album is their best CD. I had already heard most of the songs that are included on the second disc, but I was impressed by the quality of the recordings. For those of you who haven't heard the previously unreleased tracks, they are certainly worth your money. I can't even imagine why they've waited so long to compile them and market them. Alright, well this is a great cd for those of you who are true Weezer fans. In my case, both cds were a great buy because my old blue album has gotten scratched to the point of not working. I'm sure it has happened to some of you, too. Anyhow, the second cd is great and full of songs you'd wish they had put into a cd earlier. However some of you, people who probably liked the green album a lot, may complain it's not their 'good stuff'. Well, like I said above, this collection is for true Weezer fans; the fans that liked what Cuomo did in the beginning and wished that he did more of it.Free Music Review: With the Blue Album and more, ya can't go wrong.

I'm a big fan of the Weez. Out of all their albums this one is probably the best. It's got a good balance of the laid-back (Say it Ain't So, the Sweater Song) and the just plain aggressive rock (Buddy Holly, Only in Dreams) thats kinda got a 50's vibe in there somewhere (or maybe its just me). The b-sides on disk 2 are also pretty good as a whole, very eagerly awaited by a lot of fans who never had the bootleg connections to get them earlier. All in all this is a great collection of songs, both disks. But why 4 stars? The packaging. For me personally, I bought this CD only for the 2nd disk. I already have the first cd, but because of this, I had to buy it again. For a lot of weezer fans this will be the case, but there's nothing we can really do about that unless they start releasing the b-sides separately. If you are a newcomer to the weezer music, by all means, buy this set instead of the regular blue album, and you will thank yourself later and save youself a few bucks too.

I like weezer...have always loved the blue album...the b-sides are cool...but for me...it's the kitchen recordings...it's great to hear a band recording themselves...especially in the early nineties...when you pretty much had to use a 4 track...undone the sweater song...recorded in all it's glory...not to mention the fact that these guys started a trend...you might notice their influence in just a few of the "cool" bands today...to say the least...
