Free Music Review: I THINK THIS IS HIS BEST! ...
Hit: 5 Stars

I Think "Poodle Hat" is Al's best yet! I laugh everytime I listen to it.

Track 1, "Couch Potato", is a parody of Eminem's song "Lose Yourself." Its about a guy watching TV all day and everyday, and how his friends tell him it will rot his brain, but he still watched every show.

Track 2, "Hardware Store", is a song Al wrote himself. Its about a guy who is very excited when he finds out that his town is getting a hardware store.

Track 3, "Trash Day", is a parody of Nelly's song "Hot In Herre." Its about a guy who's house is filled with all his trash and his wife keeps on nagging him about needing to take the trash out.

Track 4, "Party At The Leper Colony", is one of Al's own songs that he wrote. Its about a guy at a party at a leper colony.

Track 5, "Angry White Boy Polka", is one of his songs where he includes popular songs, and are set to polka style music.

Track 6, "Wanna B Ur Lovr", is an original song by Al. Its a song about a guy who is trying to pick up girls, and uses some funny pick-up lines.

Track 7, "A Complicated Song", is a parody of Avril Lavigne's song "Complicated." The songs deals with 3 different "complicated" subjects.

Track 8, "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?", is a song written by Al. Its about Al who is faced 3 disasters, and instead of thinking about the victims, he thinks about himself.

Track 9, "Ode To A Superhero", is a parody of Billy Joel's "Piano Man." Al sings about the blockbuster movie "Spider-Man."

Track 10, "Bob", its an original song by Al. Its pretty funny. Every line in the song is a palindrome.

Track 11, "EBay", is a parody of Backstreet Boys' song "I Want It That Way." Its about Al and all the things he buys on Ebay.

Track 12, "Genius In France", is about a guy who is stupider than a bag of rocks, but everyone in France thinks he is a genius.

Well I think you really should pick up this album, and the home movies on the CD are funny too!

Free Music Review: He's 5 Stars

After releasing Bad Hair Day, I never thought Weird Al could top himself. Then I heard Running With Scissors and proved myself wrong. After this experience, I promised I wouldn't say it again. Good thing, because Poodle Hat is awesome! I must say, though, that is very different. There is actually a(partly) serious song, "Wanna B Ur Lovr." Al pays homage to two of his heroes, also. The first is Bob Dylan in "Bob," which has very Dylan-like lyrics and Al sounds a lot like him when he sings the song, too. The second is Frank Zappa in "Genius In France." The song has many Zappa references (songs and his personality) and, again, Al sounds like him when he sings. And, using a great play on words, Al creates the timeless "Party at the Leper Colony." But don't worry. His hilirious parodies will never be left out. "Couch Potato" is a great parody of "Lose Yourself." It proves that Al has a great rhyming talent (if you weren't stupid enough to figure that out already). "Trash Day" was a little disappointing. The rhymes and the plot were great, but he is a little off-key in the chorus and the lady singing is way off tune from the girl in "Hot In Herre." But, it was still good aside from the two things. "Angry White Boy Polka" is another awesome polka compilation. "A Complicated Song" will keep you on the floor. Though you probably knew he would have to refer to the "Constipated" joke, it's still great, also because he only uses that reference once. This was actually the first one I heard. "Ode To A Superhero" is also another great parody. The superhero is Spider-Man, for all the wonderers. The words fit perfectly to the tune and original lyrics of "Piano Man." "eBay" is almost exactly like "A Complicated Song." The words are genius, the singing is fabulous, and Al pulls off a pretty good Backstreet Boys imitation. Put all of these things together and you get one of the best albums of 2003. Don't miss out on this one.

Free Music Review: Al is back in bla..uhm, multicolored shirts.
Hit: 5 Stars

This is great stuff. Great. Stuff. Great. This record stands out in a crowd. A big crowd, with possibly 5 or maybe 12 people in it. It's one of the better records I've heard. And I've heard alot more than 4 records, thats for sure. I mean, its not a 3 out of 5 stars album. Its more like maybe 5 out of 5. Thats 100% out of 100%. Which is alot more than, say only 46%, which would be really bad, or atleast less than average for an album to score. I could listen to this record more than one time. Alot more. Like 60 times. Thats alot of listening to do. Many hours. You gotta like a record to listen to it 60 times. Did I listen to the new Linkin Park album 60 times? Nope. What about Nelly? No siree. Not even once. So you should really buy this album, because I think you'd want to listen to it 60 times aswell. Maybe even more. There are alot of devoted people out there that probably could listen to this album more than me. I gotta go to school and work, so they would be able to listen when Im gone. That would give them an advantage. But I don't care. Its fine with me. It's not like I'd even have a conversation with them anyway. And even if I did, it wouldn't matter. Unless this was some really braggy guy that liked to tell everyone that he had listen to the new Weird Al album alot more than 60 times. Like anyone cares. Snotnose. So, if you like Weird Al, and I think you do, unless your hobbie is to read customer reviews of albums whos artists you don't even like. And that is very unlikely. But I guess such people to exict. I mean, there's alot of people living in the world. Maybe more than 100. 100 is alot of people. I don't have 100 friends. But Im sure there are people that have 100 friends. They can't all be good friends though. Maybe just 35 of them are good friends, and as few as 4 bestfriends.

I like this album. I really do. It's worth the cost. Buy it. Or the little rabbit dies. Goodbye.

Free Music Review: Weird al's best yet....
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, he's done it again. I became a weird al fan right after running with scizors came out, and have been waiting for 4 years, and it was worth the wait. (PS: I have done other reviews, but they have ****** instead of */*)

1. Couch potato: 5/5 This tells about the bad, the worse, and the uglier of TV. It is great, but he should have mentioned infomercials too. Oh, well... (parody of Lose Yourself by Eminem)

2. Hardware store: 5/5 YAHOO! This is weird al at his best. He's going (yes he's going to the,)HES GOING TO THE... goinggoinggoing yes he's going to the HARDWARE STORE!

3. Trash day: 4/5 I can't see why nobody likes this song. (parody of Hot in Heere by Nelly)

4. Party at The Leper Colony: 4/5 I like it, but it's a bit mean spirited.

5. The Angry White boy Polka: 5/5 His polka's just keep getting better and better.

6. Wanna B UR Lover: 5/5 I wonder if he wrote this song to Suzanne...

7. A Complicated song: 5/5 The title tells it all. This song deals with constpation, dating a cousin, and being decapitated. Any song like that deserves a laugh. (parody of Complicated by Avril Lavine)

8. Why does this always happen to me?: 3/5 Unfortunatly, every ALbum has 1 song that stands out as the worst. This one is good, but could have been much better. (and besides, 80,013 people died in it)

9. Ode to a Superhero: 5/5 It is to good for words, and besides, my fingers are getting tired. (Parody of Piano Man by Billy joel)

10: Bob: 4/5 I didn't get it at first, but I figured out that each line is a palendrome (spelled same forward and backward) for instance, "Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog"

11: Ebay 5/5 WOAH. This is one of his greatest songs that I've heard. (parody of I want it That Way by the Backstreet Boys)

12: Genius in france: 6/5 A 9 minute song that is like a Frank Zappa song. It is GOOOOOD. Better than 5/5!

Well, see ya in 8 years...

Free Music Review: Al has made this poodle fly!
Hit: 5 Stars

"Weird Al" has created another masterpiece. The parodies on here are brilliant. A Complicated Song (parody of Avril Lavigne's Complicated) is definitely the greatest and funniest parody he has ever written. Ode to a Superhero (parody of Billy Joel's Piano Man) as Gump, Jurassic Park and the Saga Begins do on former albums tells the plot from beginning to end of the Spiderman movie. I love this song. Couch Potato (parody of Eminem's Lose Yourself) is sensationally done about watching TV. Trash Day (parody of Nelly's Hot in Here) is brilliant with Al singing "Rotten, so rotten here" as the main theme words. E-bay is the final parody (of Backstreet Boys' I Want it That Way) and is another masterpiece about the junk people buy on E-bay.

Most of the original songs on this album are brilliant. Genius In France is about the singer being unhygienic, stupid and ugly, but when he goes to France is superior to everyone there. Pretty long, pretty good. Party at the Leper Colony is extremely clever and uses everyday sayings such as eye on you and cost you and arm and a leg depicting lepers falling apart interacting at a party. Sensational! Wanna B Ur Lovr again brilliantly uses pickup lines in an hilarious song. Why Does This Always Happen to Me? is about a guy complaining his life is being interrupted by things like his television programs interrupted by disasters.

I'm a huge fan of Al but I have to say the songs Hardware Store and Bob are very average. There's no humorous lyrics in them, I don't see their point. Still buy this album for everything else that's on here as it's still a masterpiece and the rest are sensational one day to be looked back in the future as Al classics.

You can also watch Al's home videos of him as a kid on your computer as well as the lyrics for his songs. A bonus for buying this album. The songs alone are worth your money though.
