Free Music Review: Back to the Basics for Westlife
Hit: 4 Stars

I simply couldn't listen to Westlife's "Allow Us To Be Frank";it was in all proportions absolutely idiosyncratic to a boyband that has been made famous by their pop music and stupendous ballads. "Face to Face" is the album which takes this Irish group back to its origin, that is,pop and love ballads. The best song in this audio CD is by far "You Raise me Up" albeit one would possibly rate it below Brian Kennedy's version of the track. The sombre tone and undulating music is a fantastic treat to the ears and so is "When You Tell Me That You Love Me",which features the Pop Diva Diana Ross and this add the cherry to the cake. Of course "Desperado" and "Colour My Life" are reminiscents of other great singers and though this reveals to some degree a lack of originality on the side of the band,but.....then again, that is art,old wine in new bottle. On the whole, not necessarily "Face to Face" is the best so far of Westlife but is a welcome respite after the Sinatra tribute bizzareness.

Free Music Review: A return to form!!!
Hit: 4 Stars

After the career mishap of "Allow Us To Be Frank",Westlife return to familiar territory.Big ballads, carefully selected cover versions and a duet with one of the biggest names in popular music,Diana Ross.Their first REAL album as a quartet will keep longtime fans happy, even though Bryan's voice is still missed in the mix the four lads from Ireland manage quite well. The stand out track for myself is "Hit You With The Real Thing"!An absolute stomper.A couple more tracks like this would have been welcome but a good effort none the less.Glad to have the boys back!

Free Music Review: Good
Hit: 4 Stars

Not as good as their previous albums, but definitely worthy work.
It's actually surprising to me how good Mark Feehilly is. His voice is one of the best I've ever heard. I wouldn't mind if he went solo. The other lead is a very solid singer, but his voice just doesn't compare to Mark's.

Free Music Review: Another dull album by Westlife
Hit: 1 Stars

This is just another example of Westlife's lack of originality and creativity (even without that horrid Brian), again as so often before its still chockablock full of coverversions - Plain boring, dull, uninpirational and depressing again! - No thanks!
