Free Music Review: Nothing else quite like it

I was a teen in the 80s that was into ROCK AND ROLL - the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, CCR, etc. I never would've heard of Wham!, except that the girl I was dating loved the song "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", so naturally I had to check it out.
I ended up buying her the album, then taking her to see Wham! in concert in Philadelphia, and then marrying her a couple months later! We just had our 23rd anniversary, and I popped Make It Big into the CD player, and wow, it really does sound good a couple decades later. I listened to it a lot back in the day, which is pretty amazing for me, considering there's very little guitar work on the album.
I guess this one will always have sentimental value for me!
Free Music Review: Classic Pop

While this album is undeniably the best of the 3 Wham! albums, it also possesses some of the greatest pop songs from the 80's. After messing around with fluffy dance songs on their first album, George and Andrew show that they understand what makes a great pop song. Amazingly enough, they wrote the classic "Careless Whisper" when only 17 year old, and it's a song that will probably never be forgotten. "Freedom" is one of my favorites on this album. The exuberance of the opening notes leads directly into an undeniably catchy and bouncy chorus. Freedom is a theme that George will return to again in his solo albums "Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. I" and "Older."

Ok, I'll start out by saying that I'm not the best writer, but here goes!I have the cassette tape of this album and have listened to it throughout the years. I must admit that I listen to the radio favorites: Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Everything She Wants, Freedom, and Careless Whisper. I was only 8 years old when these songs were popular, but I definitely remember the gorgeously silky smooth voice of George Michael.
My favorite song is Freedom. It is ear candy to me! Every time I hear it, I feel happier inside (like I felt when I was 8 years old listening to this album).
If you could get a copy of this album I'd give it a chance. You don't hear songs like this on the radio anymore!

I dig Wham! and George Michael's sexuality is none of my business. He does have a great voice and is a serious musician and songwriter. This will always be one of my favorite records for the music and the memories. I enjoy all the songs not just the ones that got radio play. "If You Were There" and "Like a Baby" are two awesome songs. Of course "Careless Whisper" and "Everything She Wants" are classics to be forever cherished. I have this meter for knowing whether or not music is good, my spine. If I get tingles, it's good. As you can guess, I give this 5 stars on the tingle scale. Make It Big is one of the two WHAM! albums with the other being Music From the Edge of Heaven. Of all the three albums released by WHAM!, Make It Big is the better one of the three. With three number one hits including "Careless Whisper", Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Everything She Wants". Another song that made the top 5 is "Freedom" ranking at #3. All of the songs on the album r my favorites so i don't have a clear cut favorite. Everyone else haz said wut i wanted to say so there's no use in repeating it except thta i HIGHLY EMPHASIZE that if u r an 80s music lover or love to listen to pop in particular, then u MUST get this album!
