IMHO this is the best Wilco album yet. It grabbed me from the first track and just kept getting better. Different from the rest, well maybe but then again each successive album seems to go in a new direction that compliments the previous work but doesn't perpetuate it...isn't that how it should be? Wilco keeps on making great music. As with the last couple albums, it took me a couple listens to really get the full feel of the music. It is wonderful. I am very happy I got the CD/DVD set. The DVD is well produced and shot. It gives you some insight on the songs and the band dynamic. It is well worth the extra couple bucks. Highly recommended!!!Free Music Review: Phenomenal

Best CD of the 21st Century. Although it is both lyrically and sonically dense and much can be said for the artistry, it just makes me smile.
Alternative fans will love it, as will fans of folk music. I think rock and country fans will enjoy it quite a bit as well. Metal only fans may want to look elsewhere.

...yet this may be my all-time favorite album (discovered two years after its release). Fantastic melodies and music and vocals. So much heart and sincerity...and sorrow, but ultimately optimistic and comforting. The DVD is beautiful as well. I own every Wilco album, and I really think they are all GREAT....but this one is clearly the best. Buy it today -- it won't leave your car's CD player for months.
