Free Music Notes for Essential Willie NelsonFree Music Review: The Essential Willie Nelson Hit: 5 Stars
I'm an old yankee, 61, actually Irish, from Massachusetts. I've just started to develop an appreciation for classic country music. I've added Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash Essential two CD sets to my collection. They are both excellent in content and sound quality. I brought both on Amazon and as usual with Amazon I'm 100% satisified with price and delivery. Will be buying more classic country on Amazon in the near futrue.
Free Music Review: WOW Ten star winner Hit: 5 Stars
WOW.... This two disc set is awseome. Last week I was listening to NPR's Fresh Air and heard Willie Nelson talking about a song that was obscure and low and behold its on this. Anyway this is a CD that I have had playing nearly nonstop since I bought it. Crisp clear recordings that seem ageless. And such a nice selection of songs from decades of performing. If you own just one of Willie Nelsons CD's this should be the one.
Free Music Review: This will do--til I can buy every CD he's done Hit: 5 Stars
I didn't like Willie Nelson til I moved to Austin. You can't live there, hear all the good things he's done, and then listen to him and not start liking him. Someone has a problem, there's a storm, a fire--whatever, Willie's there playing and singing his heart out and getting as many of his fellow musicians out doing the same. Now, I want the whole collection because the B-sides are as good as some other folks' A's.
Free Music Review: Great CD Hit: 5 Stars
I disagree with those who said that the duet with Steven Tyler wasn't good. I thought it was great! Maybe Steven did sing a little louder than Willie, but if Willie didn't like it, he didn't have to put it on his CD. With all the mechanical stuff they have now, he could easily have fixed that. Anyway, I like the cd, especially "One Time too Many."
Free Music Review: Classic Willie singing the blues Hit: 5 Stars
Great album. A must have if you are a Willie Nelson fan. The duets are incredible. Seven Spanish Angels with Ray Charles has to be one of the greatest duets of all time. And when Julio Iglesias sings "To all the girls i've loved before" I actually believe that there may have been quite a number (I still don't believe Willie when he sings that).
