This CD will probably rank among Willie's best ever works. It's a beautiful, instrospective and uplifting journey through what has been along with reflections on what yet may be. And it comes from the heart and soul of someone who has truly lived life and experienced its pains and its pleasures. I'm not gonna bore you with quasi "review speak" like so many frustrated, would-be writer's seem to do on Amazon. This is a Willie Nelson album, and it's very easy to listen to and enjoyable. It's not groundbreaking like his Red Headed Stranger, and it's not noteworthy because of a pairing with Cash or Waylon or Christopherson. It's just a great album with some reflective songs with Willie's signature delivery and in a voice that sounds as if he's gotten a little older and a bit weaker...and that's just fine. Also one of my first but I bought it because I know Willie to be a intelligent, gifted, artist. This album proves it.
