This is an excellent CD that is filled with a wide range of music and performers.As you listen to this collection,you will almost feel like you are attending one of Willie's big Picnic Shows.It is loaded with all kinds of musicians and singers ,and much of the songs are not those one associates with Willie.But isn't that what makes Willie as great as he is.Although there are some pure Country songs included,it includes a wide range of performers.Just look at the different artists that are included;Merle Haggard,Al Green,Toots Hibbert,The Holmes Brothers,Rickie Lee Jones,Toby Keith,Carole King,Kid Rock,Los Lonely Boys,Keith Richards,Joe Walsh and Lee Ann Womack.
All in all a good long CD with 19 songs and some real different combinations af singers and songs.

The new live album from Willie's 3rd USA Network Special features Willie performing with some of his closest friends and biggest legends making music today including Los Lonely Boys, Keith Richards, Merle Haggard, Toby Keith, Lucinda Williams, Al Green, Shelby Lynne, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ben Harper, Kid Rock and many more!How much fun can Willie have on stage? How hard can he rock? Only as much and as hard as the party warrants, and this audio souvenir of his third USA Network TV special is some kind of party. Despite some jarring editing--guest announcements intrude and Kid Rock's corny cameo lurches into Al Green's moaning pentecost--the star-spangled pageantry rarely overwhelms the loose, joyful collaborations. The killer house band, with Jim Keltner on drums and Nils Lofgren on guitar, shifts from swing to reggae to boogie rock, and leaves the Nelson Family Band, fine as they are, in the dust. Ol' Willie may go froggy on an otherwise gorgeous duet with a Carole King, he may be a no-show on Toots Hibbert's frenetic "Pressure Drop," and he probably should have thought twice about letting Los Lonely Boys suck the funk from War's "Cisco Kid," but he still slings some signature Trigger riffs alongside the Holmes Brothers and matches Lucinda Williams' slow-burn emotion, phrase for soulful phrase. --Roy Kasten
