Free Music Notes for Wire: & All the Pieces Matter - Five YearsFree Music Review: An excellent, varied CD Hit: 5 Stars
There's a wide range of music on this CD, and I like it all. If you've followed The Wire through the seasons, and enjoyed the music you heard, then you need to get this CD. I like the dialog choices, for the most part, but it mostly makes me feel melancholy that The Wire will be history before too long.
And, I'm very glad that Blake Leyh's "The Fall" was included. What a great piece of music.
Free Music Review: Must buy for anyone who loves The Wire Hit: 5 Stars
What a show and what a soundtrack. I love to kick back and listen to this soundtrack because it reminds me of the show. I especially love the short tracks of various dialogues from the show. The music just speaks to me for some reason, and captures so well the show and what it's about. It's hard to explain in words; guess you've got to watch the show to know.
Free Music Review: Absolutely reflects the spirit of the show... Hit: 5 Stars
It's fantastic, although I bought it initially for the Pogues track...Ray Cole's wake being one of my favorite Wire moments, but I have found the whole thing contributes to a sense that you are hearing the many voices of a struggling city. My respect for hip-hop is enhanced by my purchase of this product.
Free Music Review: The Wire 5 yesrs of music Hit: 5 Stars
This is a great CD. Gives me a new appreciation of "Rap" Loved the dialogue from previous shows. Brings back a lot of memories; both happy and sad. Sorry The Wire will meet it's conclusion this season.
Free Music Review: If you loved The Wire... Hit: 5 Stars
...you will love this. I bought it for my husband a few weeks ago. He has not stopped talking about it since, and he has lent it to other Wire fans, who love it, too. It is one of the best surprise gifts I ever bought for him. Who knew?
