In this case, 10 bucks.
What a wonderful CD. I still have the original 33 1/3rpm disc that my mother bought so many years ago but it had become more a nostalgic thing than a useful recording. Now I get this fantastic new CD release. Sound quality is very good and the printed meterial reminences quite good the original long play. I enjoyed the music so much and it brought tears to my mother's eyes (now 81)
If for some reason (could be so many) you value this music of a bygone era (and I must say a bygone America) by all means buy this CD.

I have waited years for the release of this film in order to purchase it. The music is all beautiful 1940s style and lots of it. Jane Froman has a beautiful voice - the kind like you never hear today and music like you don't hear today. Copyright laws for all the many songs kept it from being produced for the home audience. Now the DVD film is available as well as this CD soundtrack. I love this soundtrack. I bought the DVD as well as the CD so that I can enjoy it whenever I wanted.

Free Music Review: Who in their right mind doesn't love Jane Froman?

Susan Hayworth may have played her in the movie but it was Jane, herself, who was doing the singing. Her rendition of "Blue Moon" is worth buckets of gold. I sang it a capella, at my first ever audition and got called back to play the lead in the high school musical. Jeez! Thank God, I didn't get the part. I started having nightmares about ending up on stage in my underwear. Jeez! The fact that "Pall Joey" comes with the CD with Jane and Elaine Stricth! Well! Seriously? I actually was so pleased to see a CD available because I have been longing for the movie "with a song in my heart" to become available on VHS and then on DVD, and it never has, so now at least I can enjoy the songs from the movie. I saw this movie and I loved the songs. All the songs in the soundtrack are a winner. Jane Froman went through a lot in her life but she still managed to make good music. I recommend this soundtrack if you love her music.
