The Silent Force Was Horrible, It Sounded Too Much Like Pop And It Was Their Worst Album.
But They Didn't Get Any Worse From The Silent Force, This Is A Million Times Better.
This Still Has A Little Pop From The Silent Force But They Reduced The Pop Sound A Lot And Added More Hard Rock & Metal.
It Took Several Listens To Really Enjoy But Now It's Probally My Favorite Album By Within Temptation.
People That Didn't Like The Silent Force Didn't Like This Either? They Probally Listened To It Once And Never Gave It Another Chance And/Or Sold It Online.
This Is Definetly One Of My Favorite CDs Of 2007.
My Favorite Songs Are: The Heart Of Eveything, Our Solemn Hour, Forgiven, Frozen & The Howling.

This is the first Album of Within Temptation's I aquired. I later went on and got "The Silent Force", "The Dance", "Enter" and "Mother Earth" and I was impressed by it. After going back to listen to their beginnings I think they are much better now. They took out a lot of the death grunts that groups like Epica, and Nightwish have, I'm also a big fan of both groups though, and Sharon is a fantastic singer. This album is every bit as good as "The Silent Force" and "Mother Earth"! "Hand of Sorrow" is a great track. As is "Final Desination" and "The Truth Beneath the Rose". All of the songs are great, but those just happen to be some of my favorites. Great CD!Free Music Review: Awesome CD!!!

When I first saw the music video for "What Have You Done Now" I immediately purchased "The Heart of Everything" and I'm very pleased that I did! There are many strong tracks, notably "Frozen", "The Howling", "Stand My Ground", "The Cross" and "Our Solemn Hour". I keep playing these songs over and over on my iPod, and every rock / metal mix I make for my car has at least one song from "The Heart of Everything" on it.
I simply cannot rate them high enough! But don't take my word on it, check out one of their music videos on YouTube for yourself - that's the way I got hooked!

This is my favorite album of theirs. I didn't mind their other works, but the growling got annoying in my opinion. This is one of the finest works of art in this genre of metal. There's melodicness, all the songs are intricate, but there is one tune in particular that I really don't care for "What have you done Now?" but that's because Sharon's voice wasn't the only one caring that tune. Oh well, the rest of the album is mind-boggling. And to retaliate to the customer who thought that their name wasn't really creative, need I remind you that sometimes simple thintgs are the best.Free Music Review: The Heart Of Everything, simply wondeful

I absolutly loved this album. I discovered Within Temptation recently, and i am so glad i finally saw what i was missing. Evanescence they ar4e not, this band is much better!
From The Howling to The longer version of What Have You Done featuring Keith Caputo(an awesome singer) this is a cd you don't want to miss.
My personal favorite, What Have You done, is not their usual stuff, it's a bit more toned down, i guess you could say. I really love Our Solemn Hour, its such a powerful song.
Worth the price.
