I was able to see Within Temptation LIVE during the tour for this album back in Sept. '07. OH MY GOD!!!!!! They were even better in person! I recommend this album and ever other album this band has. Never have I had a band that I absolutely LOVED everything that they sang. If you get a chance to see them in concert, take my advise...GO! You will NOT be disappointed. I hope they come back to the US this year for another tour. I'll be there! If you like Sharon's singing, check her out in "No Compliance" by Delain. AWESOME!!!!!Free Music Review: Great!

This is yet another great album from Within Temptation! Even though I don't like this album as much as the Silent Force, I still give it a five star review.
The music is heavier than both The Silent Force and Mother Earth, but it is still melodic, and that is what I like the most about Within Temptation.
My favorite songs are the following: Our Solemn Hour, The Truth Beneath The Rose, Frozen, and The Howling. If you are thinking about buying this album, do it, you will be happy you did!

Within Temptations's 4th album has finally been released in America (it was released in Europe since March). This album is incredible from start to finish. Songs like Frozen, Forgiven, Hand Of Sorrow, and the title track showcases Sharon's beautiful operatic voice backed by heavy guitars, strings, and choirs, which makes the songs very epic. They will be headlining their first US tour in September so make sure to check them out. If you like Evanescence or Nightwish, you'll love Within Temptation.Free Music Review: This album rocks!

I, too, fell in love with this album when I first heard it. "Cross" is my favorite by far. They are reminiscent of Evanescence, though it appears that Within Temptation came out first. I had assumed the opposite. "Cross" has interwoven vocals like Tori Amos. I have even heard Kiss' introduction to "Black Diamond" in "All I Need". I can see this album being fantastic for not only those into Goth rock but also the mainstream. I have recommended it to friends on FB.Free Music Review: AMAZING Album

I found Within Temptation while looking for artists from other countries with a sort of "Evanescence" feel to them. This band popped up and I bought the album. I LOVE it! The music is complex, her voice is beautiful, the orchestral and heavy metal mix is done very well.
This has been in my collection for a while now, and I don't get tired of it. Actually giving one to my mother-in-law as a Christmas present this year.
