Free Music Notes for Wolves: Original Soundtrack RecordingFree Music Review: My favorite disc. Hit: 5 Stars
I must say that this has been my favorite cd for some time now. I received it as a gift - before I ever saw the IMAX film - and the beauty and composition of nearly all the tracks actually made me think of, and FEEL, wolves. And for an impassioned wolf supporter, that's something! The Native tracks are super, as are the pieces by composer Michel Cusson. The only track that I personally prefer was not included is that by Bruce Cockburn, which really pulls me back into the living room, if you know what I mean. However, the disc is just great. I listen to it every day!
Free Music Review: Serene music. Hit: 5 Stars
This is a relaxing CD. The music, much of which is Native American, takes me outside into the wilderness which I love, listening to the sounds of nature. Highlights of the CD include Ly-O-Lay Ale Loya which is high quality electronic Native music, Deer Dance which is a great song by Joanne Shenandoah, The Whole Night Sky by Bruce Cockburn which takes me outside at night looking up at the Milky Way, Mary Youngblood's flute music on Silent Wolf, and Walela's The Whippoorwill.
The only thing I didn't like about the CD was there weren't enough wolves.
Free Music Review: Wolves - One Awesome CD! (I'd give it 6 stars if I could) Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this CD because I love wolves and can't wait to see the movie. However, now I have fallen in LOVE with the music of the artists on it. The songs from Sacred Spirit, Joanne Shenandoah, Walela and others just can't be beat for taking you away. I never new that Native American sounds could move me so much. If you need to get away, but can't leave where you are, listen to this CD and others by the artists. Let them and this CD just take you to a better place for a while! Enjoy!!
Free Music Review: Fond Memories Hit: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this CD!! I first bought a copy on a trip out West, probably in Arizona or New Mexico, about 6 years ago. It's a long car ride from there back to Alabama. I played this CD over and over, and never got tired of it. It's relaxing and yet exhilirating at the same time. After several moves, my beloved CD was lost. I had to have another copy. I am so happy that I can listen to those pounding drum beats and mystical woodwinds again.
Free Music Review: Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
After watching the IMAX movie I HAD to have the soundtrack. It's wonderfully peaceful and I listen to it almost every night when I'm going to sleep or whenever I just need to mellow. I do not recommend skipping track 10. Maybe it doesn't quite flow with the rest of the cd but it's a beautiful song all the same (it won 'Native Heart Song of the Year' at the 2000 Native American Music Awards).
