Free Music Review: EXCELLENT MUSIC THAT LEADS YOU TO PURE IMAGINATION
Hit: 5 Stars

VERY EXCELLENT MUSIC - After listening to this CD I grabbed my guitar and got lost in my own world, a world of pure imagination and feeling of intense bliss. At the age of seven I am already playing guitar. After 22 years, whenever I hold my a guitar my fingers automatically press the broken "A minor" key or chord and start playing "Corcovado" as Joao Giberto may translate "Quite Nights and Quite Stars" (I love "The Lettermen" version of it). When you really know how to play guitar, you can't deny that listening to BOSSA music will take your heart and soul immediately get suspended in rhythm with the guitar. Whoever chose the sound track for this movie is definitely a music lover.

I immediately got captivated with the music that mad me sit and watch the TV, I tried to memorize the sound track by humming the melody. I don't understand Portuguese but I simply think and feel that Brazilian music and language is mixed with charm, amorously sad and happy. I took a paper and pencil wrote down the movie title and sound track. Then I took my guitar and start playing with it, imitating the guitarist and trying to recollect the melody.

That's my world, all by my self. I live in a silent world filled with love with the kind of music defined by the sound track....from Marlon Segovia (e-mail: mtsadmin@comcast.net)

Free Music Review: Could this open the floodgates of Bossa Nova?
Hit: 5 Stars

I sure hope so. Not being too familiar with the Bossa Nova style I can't offer much in the way of musical critique. All I can say is that I rushed out to buy this CD less than an hour after seeing the movie. "Woman On Top" was a virtual vacation for someone like myself who spends way too much time in front of a computer and not enough time seeing the world. Listening to these beautiful and romantic Brazilian songs is energizing for the mind and restores the soul. I am reminded of what Robin Williams said in "Dead Poets' Society" in which he praises 'medicine and law' as noble pursuits but 'poetry, music, and love' as being what we live for. "Woman On Top", both the movie and the CD, captures exactly that mood and frame of mind. I just hope that the popularity of this CD will help bring more of the Bossa Nova style music to an American audience that definitely needs to lighten up, relax, and enjoy life.

Free Music Review: Sexy and Mellow Brazilian Musical CD...Lovely!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw the movie "Woman on Top" recently and just LOVED the music in the movie, along with the movie itself.... Therefore, I immediately bought the CD, to recapture the romantic mood of the movie.

Well, I was not disappointed in the CD at all. It is quite mellow and sexy at the same time---just like the movie.

For those that have not seen the movie, I would describe it as a "Fantasy Romance" movie. The music fits the style of the movie beautifully.

This CD can be enjoyed while cooking any meal, & with a good glass of fine wine in hand.

Get ready to sway to the soft Brazilian sounds!

This CD will sound better and better , the more times you play it! That's the effect it has had on me.

Free Music Review: I never buy soundtracks, but this is just too good...
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the first soundtrack I've ever purchased and I can't stop listening to it! The music has a relaxing beat with guitar and vocals that have a deep, buttery feel. There isn't a bad track on this disk, though I'm partial to "A Flor E O Espinho" and the haunting and alluring female voice of Maria Creusa as she sings "Obsessao". I also enjoyed the playful beat and vocals of "Falsa Baiana." It has introduced an entirely new category of music to me; I've even begun looking for CDs by the artists appearing on this soundtrack.

I enjoyed the movie, though I don't speak a word of Portugese, and I had a craving for two things when I left the theatre: spicy seafood dishes and this soundtrack!
